I believe all of us has an email account...or even more than one. 1) What are those email accounts that you have? 2) Which one do you use regularly? 3) Which is your favourite email account and why? If you receive chain letters/ junk mails~ do you delete them or do you forward them?

I have totally six email accounts. Two in yahoo, one in gmail, one in hotmail, one in rediffmail and one in my office mail account. I use all these for different uses. The most used mail account is rediffmail.com and the second to that my ymail account. I will be using my gmail account for the social network sites. My faourite account is rediffmail.com. The reason is that as an Indian, I like this Indian site. I used to delete all the chain letters and junkmails even without reading it.

Hello Mdvarghese. Having 6 email accounts is a lot! But of course it is free of charge to get ourselves a new email account and it is as easy as ABC. Getting to use different email account in different uses is good! It makes thing more convenient and organize! I know hotmail, yahoo and gmail. But I never heard of ymail and rediffmail. Is rediffmail only available in India?

Hi...vingyan ymail is a yahoo account. For philippine subscribers it will be @ymail.com, in India it is @yahoo.co.in . I think it will vary in different countries. rediffmail.com is Indian, but I dont know about the restrictions for the subscription outside India

I have two accounts. One is Gmail. It is for my online activities. The other is Rediffmail which I use for my official works. Gmail has bigger capacity and accepted every where. Recently I have noticed some of my friends discussions doesn't reflect in my email though notify on is activated. I will have to find out why it is so. First I thought they may not be posting discussions. It gives them a wrong signal, if I don't respond to any of their discussions but the reason is that I don't get it. So next time if you are not getting my responses to any of your discussions, you remember the reason. Okay?

Hello Iriene. I have three accounts: AOL, Yahoo, and Gmail. My favorite and the one I use the most is AOL. I've had it the longest, it is the fastest and easiest to use, and...it has the best spam filters of the three. I delete any junk mail that makes it through the filter, and I don't forward chain letters...unless they are the cute or motivational types that I know certain others will enjoy! Karen

I have 3 email accounts, which is hotmail, yahoo and gmail. Currently Yahoo and Gmail both are the frequent use because I like both email account setting and format and also the simple login name I have for that email. The hotmail one is unlikely to use, it is more for the MSN purpose only. I have bunch of friends like to forward emails, I don't consider them as junk as majority of them are meaningful and informative one. I even save it in the email account folder for future reading. Some joke and repeated one will get deleted and of cause the spam emails, never ending one, but I'll still overview it and see if got any those I known accidentally fall into it.

I think just the email is enough to kill my day. I still have 200+ unread forwarded email from my dear friends. Normally I will read those important one first and clear the spam folder everyday. Having different email for different purpose is my idea why I need 3 account..easy to manage.

Dear lemonjude. You are wise to have an overview on the spam emails folder, in case any important mail might accidentally ended up there! I remembered there is one incident ~ one of my contest winning notification went into Junk Mail Folder. Thank God I did not delete it. So it is better to glance through it without opening individual mail, by reading the titles and from where! My son too having 3 email accounts just like yours - Hotmail for MSN / chat purposes, Gmail and Yahoomail. I truly enjoyed reading your response :) Thanks and happy myLotting!

Hi Iriene88, Nice to see you in another discussion. I have 3 accounts in gmail, three in yahoo, two in hotmail. So, totally I have 8 email accounts and all are used for various purposes. My favourite is hotmail because it is safe and secure and I use it only to recieve official and important mails. Then I use yahoo often because it was created some 7-8 years ago and I still use them and have many contacts there and I have many important emails too. Then I use Gmail as the last because it was newly created and I use to get mails from my orkut friends and some unwanted mails too. I usually have a single look to all the junk mails I recieve and pickout the important ones and empty the rest. I don't forward that to anyone. Really a nice discussion from your side.. Keep up the good work.. Do share yours too... Cheers... Have a nice day always...

Dear Phillip, Another 60 posts to go, then you can use the 'magic' of copy & paste....Go For It! You have 8 email accounts and all are used for various purposes... That 's a lot , my friend :) You are such an organised person and you can handle all the accounts well, great job. Keep it up! Actually having different email account for different purpose is very good, that way you won't mess up. Thanks for sharing and God Bless you !

Hello Iriene, I have three email accounts. They are Yahoo, Hotmail and GMail. I used to only have one account (Hotmail) but due to I have many friends which are using Yahoo, so ended up create a Yahoo account. I have registered Gmail because it is one of the requirement to create my blogspot account. But I never use Gmail to correspond with my friends. I like Yahoo the most. It has a large storage capacity and it seems like my friends could receive my yahoo mail more faster than the other accounts. It is important when I am sending urgent email to them. I have received quite a lot of junk mails daily. I used to have a lot of time to read them and even forward to my friends. But now I would delete it without reading the content.

When I was working, I like to use Outlook Express to manage my emails. I will usually direct my yahoo emails into it and I could arrange the mails in more an organised manner. Your son also has three email accounts like me? If I am not wrong, he is about 9 years old? He could master the internet knowledge as such a young age. Not bad! Currently I am still using yahoo for my MyLot responses. I am wondering, I could change the email account from time to time? It is a very good idea from you, since my Gmail is like an "dormant" account, why not I keep it for MyLot. Thanks!

I have a total of three accounts. One account is for my personal one and is used for banking/financial transaction. Second one is used for blogging and paid writing only. The third one is used for receiving mails from various groups and social networking sites which I belong to. I check all three accounts at least once a day. I prefer my Yahoo mail as I have alot of contacts there and I prefer their messenger to others. Chain letters/junk mail is usually deleted and marked as spam if sent from unknown sources. If sent from friends, only the worthwhile ones are kept while the rest are deleted. The best ones are forworded only. One does not need alot of email account and usually i have noticed that just one account does not do the trick. Each account should serve a purpose.

Dear Nick, Totally agree with you on having separate email accounts for they serve different purposes. Using different email account for different usage is good! It makes thing more convenient & organize! Good, keep it up Chain letters/junk mail is usually deleted and marked as spam if sent from unknown sources. However, at times there are important mails accidentally ended up as spam mail category. Has this happens to you? Thanks for sharing and happy myLotting!

After retirement, I keep only one social email address. I used to use hotmail, but soon changed to yahoo, as i was told about its easier to send photos. Recently, i hear a lot about other sites, such as gmail, but just think about the notification of email address change to friends and relatives, i save the trouble of the change unless anything goes wrong with yahoo.

Iriene.. you won't believe it that I have at least 6 to 7 emails accounts for different purposes.. I have the hotmail for my MSN, the Yahoo for some yahoo messenger friend.. and I have 3 gmail account that I maintain for my blog, myLot and also of course for my work too.. In addition, I have earlier created some accounts which no longer be used now.. My favourite now will be using gmail, since I find it very user friendly and the least that I used is yahoo.. since it's only for a few friends who will email me in yahoo.. talk about that, I better log in to check on that! As for those chain mails, I normally will keep in a separate folder, and will normally don't forward it provided it's something really meaningful and nice to share with friends.. or if not, I will just share them in my blog post..

I agreed that I have more than one emails account. But some of them ,I can't even remember the user ID and password to login. The most I use frequently is Hotmail account. I actually have 2 emails account under Hotmail. But I only use one of it for the correspondence. Another one is just for all kinda of junk emails. I hate when junk emails come in and flooded my account. I can't even bother to open and check out the content of the email.

I have only 1 email account, yahoo. Once I emptied spam mails without opening and it turned out that one was important. The other party had to send again and it went into spam mails again. From then onwards I check all spam mails, delete all junks and read those that are not.Only good chain letters I forward, the rest I delete.

email - secure email
Hi Iriene, I have 3 gmail account, yahoo mail, rediff mail, sify mail, in.com, aolmail. I use mostly gmail account. I have created one gmail account for friends in my social site, one account for the myLot notifications, one account for paypal. I use yahoo mail for my job related emails. I use other mails rarely. I use sometimes in.com mail for its future mail facility. It helps me to wish my friends at the appropriate timings so that i don't have to do it at the appropriate time. I guess sify mail was already deleted as i didn't use it for a long time. I use aolmail and rediff mail for chatting in the messenger. I also use the gmail account for chatting. If i receive the junk emails, i will trash them. I won't forward them.

Hi, You are fast, you are star rating 10. Congratulations, keep it up Does Rediffmail came from the website call Rediff? It seems Rediffmail is so widely use in India, good for chatting...how about storage space, huge? Different email accounts are used for different purposes is good. This way it is more organised and easier to manage. Thanks and Cheers!

I don't know the storage capacity exactly in it. I don't notice it because, i use only gmail for the receiving files in huge numbers. In rediff mail, i don't usually receive more. I receive only in the less numbers. So, i didn't take care to see what the storage capacity is.. Have a nice day.

I have two, one with Gmail another on my previous ISP. The ISP one is tiny and slow, the Gmail one is just the opposite. I now tend to shift things towards the Gmail account, and may make a second Gmail account if needed, so that I may try to keep things clean. The old ISP account I still keep it though because one thing too many is routed to that email and there's no easy way to change them, but, given how emails reach with the delay and sometimes not at all, I decided to try and make heavier use of Gmail.

Hello Irene. How are you ? Yes, I have more than one e-mail account. I like to keep my business e-mails and personal e-mails separate. That way I can manage all the e-mail communications properly. Since I am working for a company which does business internationally, the company e-mails have to be managed by regions of the international markets.

Many myLotters here also prefer G-mail. I agree with you that Gmail is fast and easy to use. Thanks, I hope to hear from you on my other topics too!

Hi Iriene88 I have a yahoo and a hotmail account I check them both everyday because one is for personal stuff from family and friends (the yahoo one) and the other is for business stuff from work or school (obviously it must be the hotmail one) as far as chain letters and forwards I tend to delete them without even reading them. I heard that often times there can be viruses attached to those emails and even the sender is no aware of it. Plus none of the crap they say ever actually happens (if u send this in the next 5 minutes the love of ur life will call) lol well I sent one and I'm still waiting lol ?

I have 5 email accounts. One I use for business. Another I use for friends, non business, and not for junk. I have 1 that I had when I was in middle school that I grew out of. And I have 2 junk email accounts. All but my middle school account are gmail. The other is hotmail. I think gmail is the best and I would never switch. However, I have my business account forwarded to Outlook because that has the most options for me and one of the best user interfaces.
