I have heard bits and pieces about it on the news but that is about it. I know it can be deadly too. We are to try to avoid it by making sure to keep our hands sanitized. It is supposed to possibly spread this winter season in the U.S.

The swine flu, or H1N1 is a new flu strain that is a combination of flu virus from pigs and birds. From what I have heard, it isn't quite as dangerous as the avian flu, but this is the first year this strain has been seen so there is still a lot not known about it. I have heard that the regular flu shot may offer some protection against the H1N1 flu, either in preventing it or else making the disease less severe in people that have been vaccinated.

I believe that this "swine flu" with bird, pig and human DNA is a scientific mutant just like several other flus of the 20th and 21st centuries! Simply eat proper to help fortify your body's natural immune system and hand-wash often. I think this is simply our world dictators attempting to force immunize people with some poison to keep people sick and disabled!

For the most part the avian flu only effects birds and is spread quickly through farms that raise these birds. The swine flu has little to do with animals and the name is a misnomer. Swine flu has the symptoms of other flus that have gone around for years, but you can add nausea and vomiting to the symptoms. Flu symptoms can include fever, hurting all over, headache, cough, congestion. (A cold with severe body aches and higher fever). If you feel so bad you want to call for help you could have the flu. The best provention is hand washing and staying away from others who are sick. If you feel ill (even if it might be a cold) stay home from work for a day and see what developes so you do not infect the whole work staff. They say that the flus that are going around this year are contagious while you are running a fever and for 24 hours after the fever stays gone. (Note that you temp will be higher in the evenings and at night than during the day as a general rule and even if you do not run a fever during the day you may at night for an extra day or two). Though I am like my daughter and believe that you should get you flu shot and do the best you can to not get sick, WHY are people so concerned about this when AIDS is totally proventable but people simply do not use the protection needed or they have so many partners that they spread the aids virus through-out the area before they even know they have it. So wash your hands often espically if you handle things other people handle. Get your regular flu shot and the swine flu shot when available, and watch if you start getting sick, and if needed go to the doctor, but tell them when you make the appointment that you may have the flu so they do not allow you to set in the waiting room with others who do not have the same symptoms.
