This is a poem I wrote over 20 years ago, maybe about 25 years. I hope you enjoy it. ~~~A hug~~~ Feeling a bit down and you're hearing the blues I can help show that you'll win not lose Just give me a minute it won't hurt a bit Don't worry about the color I have the perfect fit A hug is a rainbow when you're wearing clouds It's a golden ray of sun cutting through a crowd When it strikes you can't help but smile Gotta spread it around give it to others a while With a hug to brighten up your day A touch that always seems to say I miss you and I'll never go away With a hug to brighten up your day Hug me quick and hold me tight Don't let me go till tomorrow night Let me feel your love surge through Make it seem like a dream come true A hug from someone I don't even know Can lift my spirit make my morning glow But from the right person a hug is a cure The cleanses the soul and makes your mind pure There's no better way to show how I feel Then to give you a hug and let it reveal The love and the dreams and how much I care From only a moment from the hug that we share a hug a day keeps the blues away have you been hugged today?
