Have you ever gone to an evening class? If so what did you study? I did a Level 1 Spanish course from September 2008 to February 2009. I really enjoyed it and made new friends. I enrolled on the Level 1A course that was meant to begin in September 2009 however the course has been canceled due to not enough people wanting to do it. There will be a Spanish 1A course in a town far from me that I won't be able to go to.

I studied accountancy for a year and met some interesting people. I passed all the exams but at the end decided it wasn't the career for me. It's a useful skill to have and I'm glad I realised i wasn't suited to it before getting a job in the field. I enjoy writing too much to work with numbers all day!

Hello maximax! You happen to be my "Mylot Friend of the Week" so expect more responses from me. Every weekend, i look up at the discussions of my friends and though it has been posted long ago, i still want to reply to it. Yes i did have evening classes 2 years ago. I work as an account broker and i intended to work as a medical transcriptionist so i enrolled in evening classes for this. It is like a refresher course for me because i graduated with a degree on medical technology. I was hoping to get an on-the-job training for the medical transcription course but couldnt find time because my day job has been very demanding on me. I may not have worked as a medical transcriptionist but it sure is not a waste of investment because i used the new information there in my actual job. I sure do hope another batch of Spanish lessons be open for you. I, for one would like to learn how to speak French.

Yes, I did. I was still in college at the time, although my health was beginning to decline. But this class was once a week, so it seemed ideal. It was Statistics. Not a class I particularly liked. I was twenty at the time, and the youngest person there. Most of the students were adults who were trying to get their degree so they could progress in their career. But I've always found it easier to relate to people older than I. Be it five years or twenty, I enjoyed talking to them so very much.

Buenas tardes, ¿cómo estás? I know Spanish , that's good that you doing Spanish classes, is there any particular reason you are studying Spanish? Well, I have seen nigh classes before. There are many reasons I don't like them: a) they are usually VERY long (two to three hours!). To be honest, I'd rather meet more times with less time. b) They stuff so much material into each class it's hard for me to concentrate. c) it's in the evening usually people are tired and may not pay attention. I find daytime or online classes better. However I have done education classes (for teaching) in evening, and I've gone to a few biology classes in the evening with my friend (like I said they go over WAY too much information. I know I'd leave with a headache!) Pablo

When I was taking Early Childhood Education classes, my first class was an evening class one day a week for 3 hours. I hated going, but it was only because it was right after work and I felt rushed and I was always tired after a long day. I didn't care for the teacher either. It wasn't that bad only being one day a week, but I don't think I would do it again anytime soon. I always loved school and learning, but I guess it was mostly because I was so rushed and it made me not enjoy as much as I would have liked.

When I took admission in this Inter College, I was scheduled to join classes in evening. So, I was like "Could you please shift my tuition timing to morning?" and this officer in the administration was like "No sir, we cannot change the scheduled timings managed by the Principal and the related staff. So I had to join the evening classes. It was my first experience and I was going to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics. First two days were just boring but then I slowly started getting used to it. It was slowly turning into fun then. Nice classmates and good teachers changed it all into something good. After that when I was going to take admission in the University, I was wishing to get scheduled in evening classes.

I did accountancy at a Technical College way back in the early sixties. However, I had a cruel boss in the eighties and nineties who called my diploma, a Clayton's degree. Named after the "drink you have when you're not having a drink." She had a MBA, and was a very cruel person. Now, Swinburne has been upgraded, loke many Techno;ogy Co;;eges, to an university, and I could have my diploma upgraded to a Degree, but who really cares, now.

Several years ago, I took a CNA class in the evening and a couple of years after that, I took a medical Spanish course, also in the evening. I did enjoy going to class those few days a week, and would really lo=ike to take more courses. Unfortunately, rightnow is not a good time in my life to do that.

I have taken a couple of evening courses. About 15 years ago I studied Italian. I was a beginner before I started, but we had a very good teacher and I managed to learn quite a lot. I also made new friends, and I generally enjoyed the lessons. Later on signed up for an Italian course at another school, but that was a bit of a disappointment and I didn't learn as much as I had hoped. This year I am going to take another evening class. The subject is psychology and the course starts next week. I look forward to this course, and I hope that it will be interesting and useful. I wanted to sign up for a Russian course as well, but it is quite expensive, so I decided to wait half a year or a year.

I taught in evening classes for several years. In China, a large number of young people are studying English to improve their competency in work. They study very hard and make good progress. We use various teaching materials, including new concept english. Some take courses dedicated for examinations, like TOEFl. There are also programs for the weekends. Language learning is time consuming, and the most important thing is to find opportunities to practise. Mylot is a good site to practise reading and writing.

Hello maxi!!! I do have evening classes this semester. I go to school on Monday,Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I would have loved to choose another schedule but there are not any available. The professors who taught the subjects (Education courses)are part time instructors and they are free only at night. So I didn't have a choice. The school is the nearest from where I'm staying and with my present condition, (I'm 6 months pregnant) it's the most convenient school for me. I've made many friends since it is a small school, it's like everybody knows everyone...so it's easy to memorize my classmates' faces and names. I'm loving night classes now.

here in the philippines there are also certain classes that are night classes. at the start it was very convinient to the students who have other things to do in the morning. or having a job in the morning. but due to night differences after in a period of time the students has stop the wanting to go attend the classes. The eagerness has declined and soon didnt attend anymore. because of having a different thing to do.

Yes i have gone to evening classes. It was for my Post Graduation in Commerce . I feel it is very boring to go to evening classes. You will not feel like attending classes because it is the time you stay home with your family. I personally dont feel to attend evening classes.

During my entire college career I took several evening classes. I personally hated taking evening classes because I'd go from taking several classes during the day, to sitting in an evening class for three hours or more and those classes always dragged on and on. However, I knew I had no other choice and if I wanted my degree, I had to take those classes so I did. Thankfully I did know some people in those classes so it was easier to take them and not be so bored but I truly hated sitting there for so long.

hi maximax, In my school days,i am going to tuition class in the evening,it starts from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm some times,it took one more hour, but i am studying high school education on that time, have a nice day

I haven't ever attended evening class before in my life ( I don't know about next stage of my life). But I can't imagine attending a calss in the evening, when you're already tired with your previous daily activities. To study, we need concentration, and how do we gain it if the only thing we need is a rest ? =) If I'm given options : morning/afternoon or evening class, I will definetly take morning/afternoon one.

Dear maximax8, Oh yes, many years back my 2nd sister applied for Government-MNC sponsored marketing course. So I too went to apply for it. What a blessing, both of us got it. So, the course was for 6 months and many fresh graduate, bank managers, businessman also joined. It is 5 days-week from 7pm till 10pm. At times we need to come back on weekends too. They gave us RM200.00 monthly allowance. At the end of the course we have certificate, on job training, and a bonus of RM1,200 each. It was fantastic. We enjoyed it very much because we make new friends, we went to team building at a resort and we have so much fun! Hope to hear from you on my latest topics too :)

When I attended college all my classes were evening classes. I was employed full time and took care of my family. I studied Psychology, Marketing, Sociology, English, public speaking and many other subjects. I too met many people and enjoyed their company. Learning any new subject is a great experience.
