Friend requests in facebook

i have plenty of those requests too! but then eversince i started those applications.. mafia, pirates and farmville, i have been receiving endless requests to be friends so that we can play together as a group or as neighbors! its fun though. but i maintained a prviate/ real friends list, an another list/ group for facebooks apps. that way, i can always see and categorized the names lists and easier for me too.

I don't accept friend requests from people I don't know. Sometimes they know a bunch of my friends but if I don't know them I don't want them to have access to my information and photos. If you don't accept them as friends they won't even know as they do not send any notification to them.

I would except any friends I don't know! I have had this problem a few times. If I don't know you as a relative,a friend,a former classmate,or someone I work with you aren't going to be my friend! This also scares me too! There are not so nice people on Facebook and I would be wary! This is why al my friends on Facebook I personal know!

If it's people I know then I will accept them. If I dont know them then I simply reject them. Its a matter of personal preference though!

I only accept friends requests from people I know in real life. There are so many personal things on my Facebook wall/profile . . . that I only want trusted people to view my stuff and know my business. That being said, I did take a chance and accept 2 people I did not know . . . but only because we shared the same interest. One we'll make comments to each other rarely - and the other pretty much leaves me alone . . . so if I deleted them, they probably would not get hurt or miss me - I just haven't done it. Otherwise, I will not accept friend requests from people I don't know.

I just heard about how burgulars and the like use facebook and those social networks against you..they friend you and wait...til you post pics or anything giving off something they can steal from you...I guess a lot of people have their addresses on there. I am new to facebook also..I'm more of a myspace oldschooler. I keep all my poetry on several sites and get a lot of people sending friend requests just to promote something..be careful!

I wouldn't. Facebook is something I use to communicate with people I am actually friends with, or to be a creep and check out who's dating or whatever. Almost everyone who is my Facbeook is or was my classmate. The only people I accept friend requests from are the random younger kids from my high school who send them. I figure that's harmless, and there is the possibility that they knew who I was and I just don't remember them, so I don't want to say no if that's the case.
