Hey, Yes of course you can install Windows XP on that machine, I would say that it would run quite nicely considering that the machine has 384MB of RAM. Windows XP can even run quite nicely with an 8MB graphics card too. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Yes, I am sure you will be able to install Windows XP on this system as it meets the minimum hardware requirements (See: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314865). But the thing is, I don't think you will have a good experience working on the system since with such an old configuration, you will hardly be able to do any work. You won't be able to install other important application since you'll be left with less than 2GB memory after installing XP. Also, it will be very slow. I will suggest you to go for Linux OS. They work really well even on machines with very old configuration like yours and having low processing capabilities. Linux Ubuntu is a good one, give it a try. But before that I will suggest you to spend a bit and get another hard disk drive say 10GB to attach to your machine for better storage options.

probably, but you might want to have a second hard drive added. XP is going to take up a lot of the room.

Well friend, you can load Windows Xp but only one change is required that is you have to upgrade Hard Disk. Present Hard Disk of yours 4 Gb and Windows Xp will take away easily 1 Gb. So, if you can manage your data with remaining 3 gb then no need to upgrade but if not then you have to upgrade your Hard disk to atleast 40 gb. Other configuration is fine and Onboard graphics is enough no need of video card but you have Nvida with low memory. Anyhow, choice is yours whether to continue with that graphics card or not. Go ahead and load Windows Xp, all the best..

Yes, you should be able to install Windows XP on that system without any problems. The system should support Windows XP, although it may run a little slower than others which have higher system resources availanle.

Actually if you want to use it for surfing the Internet the configuration is more than enough. Remember to use browsers like Opera 10, which is feature packed, yet low on memory use, stable, and has a small installation size. Windows XP can run on lower specification units, but you need to install the OS using a more powerful computer, otherwise the installer will stop. I have one Pentium 3 computer with 64Mb RAM, running Windows XP.

Yes friend, you can install XP on that computer, and it will run quite good, maybe just a bit slow. You could also install Windows 2000. Both XP and 2000 are based on the NT kernel, and 2000 is lighter than XP. Anyway if you want to be able to run application frameworks like .NET then you NEED XP. .NET don't run on Win2K. I also suggest you to try a linux distribution on that computer (I suggest you Ubuntu, and if you want a lighter and faster GUI, then use the Xubuntu version), maybe you will be suprised about the speed ;)

the only problem yuo might run into is microsoft will only let you instill xp so many times and i think it is 2 times an then if it doesnt you can call up microsoft and purchase a key for your disk and then you can use it. good luck

These are the minimum system requirements for an XP Service Pack: Pentium 233 Mhz processor; 300Mhz is recommended at least 64MB of ram but 128 MB is recommended at least 1.5GB of available space on your hard disk I think your PC is good for an XP.

I would recommend you to not install Windows XP because for that specs, it won't run so smoothly... sure, it will boot and everything will be ok but you won't have a perfect and smooth PC... but you can try to rip something from your original XP installation disc to remove some unwanted thing from the source, by this way you can try to install XP on a less-performance capable PC... :) Sorry for my english but I'm italian! :)
