I remember when the Braves were the Yankees of the NL. :-p Winning the Division every year.
And Chipper is awesome, one of my favorite players. And Boone Logan is from my hometown. :-p

I am a HUGE Rangers fan, and have been since the 80's. I remember going to games with my Dad as a teenager when the team was so bad that they gave away tickets to the games at the Winn Dixie Grocery stores!
I drove 6 hours from Little Rock to Arlington to see Nolan Ryan pitch one of his final home games before his Retirement. The date was August 4. We had NO tickets, bought them from someone outside the stadium on the day of the game!
Remember, that was the day that Robin Ventura charged the mound and got the crap beat out of him by a man almost twice his age!
My most exciting day this season...besides getting to see them play the Mariner's on July 31st...was the sweep of the team that I hate the most in baseball....the RED SOX!
Oh..one more thing. I've met Rusty Greer several times while attending church with friends in Grapevine.

What do you think about Pudge being traded back to the Rangers? Sure does look great to me with him behind the plate!

I've always wanted to meet Pudge. Glad to see he's back with them. I've met a lot of the current guys when they were in the minors over the past few years. Elvis Andrus, Chris Davis, Julio Borbon, Hank Blalock, Neftali Feliz, Tommy Hunter, Warner Madrigal, Frank Francisco, Taylor Teagarden, Guillermo Moscoso, and Kevin Richardson.

I'm a big memorabilia collector, so I went to meet them all and get autographs and stuff.

You've met Blalock? I am SOOO jealous! He is, after Josh Hamilton my favorite player of all time. Of course I also liked Salty, and was so sorry to see him get hurt. I wonder which of the three catchers will get cut at the end of Salty comes back...or if they'll keep all three on staff.
I was also excited to see McCarthy come off Rehab. Not sure why I like him so much, as he is not even the most exciting pitcher the Rangers have, but something about him. I like his style. Hubby was kind of perplexed when I bought a t-shirt with his name and number on the back. Of course, I also have one with Salty's, Hamilton's, and Blalock's as well.
As much as I despise the Angels.. being a Rangers Fan. A friend of mine from college has a daughter that is dating Tory Hunter's son. Being from Arkansas, we're kind of proud of him.

My favorite team is the Miwaukee Brewers. Then it the St.Louis Cardinals. I know thw Brewers are not as good as last year but I don't care! I have been a fan of the Brewers as long as I can remember! I have been fulling the Cardinals for 15 or 16 years now. I really don't follow anyone else.

I'm a baseball fan in general, so I like every team (except the Yankees). I got to see the Cardinals play the Astros in July, drove into houston for that series. Got Chris Carpneter, Tony LaRussa, and Rick Ankiel's autographs, and say Mark DeRosa get his first hits with the Cards. (2 of his first 3 were Homers). I also almost Caught Carlos Lee's 295th career homerun. Would have had it, but someone pushed me from behind and it bounced off my fingers.

My favorite team is the LA Dodgers. All of that young talent is finally paying out. They are doing to be contenders for a long while as long as everyone is healthy.

Yeah. I think the Padres will be like that in a few years. With all the young talent they're picking up. A lot of players very similar to the Dodgers. But they just fired their GM, so hopefully the next guy doesn't screw that all up.

I have a very good friend from New York. Die Hard Mets, Giants fan.
The Mets are cool, just because I hate the Yankees. I just wish they would win sometime.

My favorite is the Chicago White Sox and have been since I was a kid. My father was a White Sox fan so it came natural. My other favorites teams are teams that beat the Cubs, Twins, Tigers, Indians, and Yankees. I might add Boston to that list if they keep winning all the time. Actually its not about them winning all the time but how they win. They win the Yankee way. :O
