I love shopping. I believe all girls love shopping. I used to shop alot when I was in Singapore.Every week ,I will go for shopping with my friends. I can shop for the whole day and at least I will buy one thing for myself. I like to shop for handbags and shirts. I love "MANGO" brand.I can stay at MANGO shops for 2-3 hours, tried every single piece of cloth that I like. But since I am married with one kid, I seldom shop for myself. Most of the time, I will shop for my son's stuffs. Do You Like Shopping??? How frequent do you have a shopping?? Let's share !!!

When I am single, I love shopping too. I love to buy clothes at the 'night market', shopping centres and boutiques. Shoes and costume jewelleries like earrings, hair clips, bows and hair bands are my favourite! Evita Peroni and S&M has earn plenty from me! However, nowadays I am just like you. Shop for my son clothes and shoes only..

Hi Iriene, I will shop for jewelerries once in a blue moon, not even once in a month. Only when I saw something unique with reasonable price, then I will buy it .Or else, I still prefer to shop for clothes, bags or shoes as I need them more in my day. I do wear earrings when I am out for some special occasions like wedding dinner, etc.Or else, I seldom wear my earrings. I have few sets of earring, resting well in my cabinet. Evita Peroni is famous for hairclips and Hairbands. I love their simple designs and the price is not cheap, but their quality is good. Since I entered motherhood life, no more shopping for myself. The first priority is for my son.

Hello Shia, Nice discussion, I like shopping too. Before married, I shop for myself a lot, but I only like to shop for shoes, clothes and bags. I hardly shop for jewels, hair accessories, skin care... For me, I like Mango too. I go crazy when they have sales. I get super crazy when they have further mark down. But for sure I will not miss their new arrival season too, ! 30% of my clothes are from Mango... But now I focus a lot on my kids stuff. I like to shop at Gap kids boutique. Again, like their sales, especially summer sales. Talk about the sale, they will have everything on sale for 30-40%, including new arrival stocks. Unlike other brand, they will go for sale on selected old stuff only, or past season stuff.

Hi Shia, This is an interested topic, I think of want to share all my shopping experience here with you, ! Yes, I like Gap, simple and nice. I don;t like local brand like Poney and Miki. They are expensive and the design is not nice. For Mango, I like the sales because it is always good bargain and money worth the spend. But it is really pack and I hate the most when come to the fitting room.

Hi Vingyan, I never saw Poney brand at Sibu. There are super limited brand for kids wear at Sibu. It is just normal brand like Anakku,Kiko,Pureen, etc. Not really a branded one. Actually I also like Gap shirts especially for boy, Their design is nice. I browsed it from their Website. Mango sales is always crazy, the shops is packed and always have long queue in the fitting rooms. However, I also have the patience to wait for my turn as I really a Mango Fans.

Hi Vingyan, At last I found another MANGO Lover. For me, 70% of my clothes are from Mango. I always on the sales item. When I was in Singapore, Mango has a frequent sales, and once I got to know about the sales,I quickly go to Mango stores and wil stay there for few hours.I will try anything that I likes, with diffrent colours and sizes. It was like first come first serve, sometimes I like the design, but don't have my size, So I have to keep searching high and low to get the right size for me. During sales period,Mango stores are packed, I even have to queue to enter to the shop.Or else,it will be like in the wet market,no space to move around. I also seldom shop for Jewelleries and hair accesories, I will only buy one when I saw something unique. Not a necessity!! For skin care product, I will only go for Clinique brand. I have been using this products for more than 10 years. When they have some promotion with freebies going on, I will grab some products to keep stock as I need them almost everyday. Gaps?? Too bad thre is no Gaps outlet at my place here. I browse Gaps website before and so an online shopping for my friend in US. I like their products for kids, very nice designs. I guess Gaps is one of your favourite brand for your kids,am i right? Happy Shopping !!!

As you told, I used to shop for myself. I am meticulous about everything like particular colour, brand, cloth texture etc. Hence me and my friend used to shop madly. She was still worse, If she wanted to buy mustard colour dress, we will go to three four areas, daily one area we used to visit and finally she had to get that mustard colour dress. We had time and energy for all that tantrums. Then after marriage and children were born, the shopping was for them mostly. Umpteen varieties of dresses for each kid, toys, clips, bangles, neck wears, children's books, oh! sky was the limit for my shopping. Now they are grown up and have their own choices and go for themselves. So my shopping at last has subdued to some extent. Since husband is handicapped and cannot go out, At present, I do shopping only for me and him and some times to buy gifts for children and others.

I usually buy under garments, slippers, kitchen accessories, hand bags of different sizes, carry bags for shopping, sticker bottu, which we wear on our forehead, comb, bangles, stationery anything under the sky, no limit for the list. Usually I go on week days in the afternoons as rush will not be there. My dresses are bought by my daughters. Even if I say 'no', they will not listen. So my requirements are met there apart from getting gift dresses from near and dear ones on their house functions or when they visit me. I will buy either dress or any useful item for them in returning the gesture.

Hi Buchi, You seem have a long list of shopping items to buy now and then. Do you have a habit to write down on items that you would like to buy? I did it sometimes,I am worried that i will miss out some items that I might need it urgently,so to play safe,I jotted it down on a piece of paper and everytime I got the item into the basket,I will gave it a tick. Till now, I still receiving new clothes from my mother. Everytime when she travels around, she will buy me and my son something. I am so happy having such a lovely mum at my side. As for me, everytime I go back to my hometown, I will buy something for my family members.Everybody will have their portion,a small present for them as I can only see them once a year.

Hi Buchi_bulla, Glad that know you are only shopping for yourself and your husband as your kids are growing up and they will do their own shopping. So do you shop every weekend or whenever necessary? what usually you buy when come to shopping? I love window shopping, at least no money is out from my pocket. Just have a look at the nice stuffs and telling myself not to grab it. When I was working, I used to shop alot especially for clothes.Although I have plenty of clothes in my cabinet,I will still keep buying to add to my collection. But when come to my current situation whereby I am no more working (a fulltime hosuewife), I only shop whenever necessary, and most of the time I shop for my son,not for myself.

Hi Janebeth, You like to collect bags,so how many bags you have at home now? I also used to buy alot of bags,I think I have more than 10 bags in my cabinets. I never stick to one bag when i go out. I will change my bag from time to time, depending on what colour of cloth I am wearing and also the design. Do you go for specific brand when you shop for dresses?? I am a Mango brand lover. most of my shirts ,pants, dress are from Mango. I even bought a few of Mango handbags.Simple design and very casual.

I super super love shopping!! I used to shop every weekend but now no longer have the privilege to do so as I want to save more money for my baby girl. I still shop about twice a month now. I buy more of my daughter's stuffs than my own stuffs. and since I can't go out much nowadays, I shop online! I usually buy clothes, shoes and handbags. Shopping is the best medicine ever!! Happy shopping everyone!

Hi Lilhyppo, I guess most mothers will shop for their kids rather than for themselves. It applied to me too, I seldom shop for myself unless I really need the things. I will shop for my boy,But I don't anyhow shop. I will think whether it is worthy to spend on the thing before i made a decision to purchase. I have to control on my finance,or else, I might be overspending again.

Hi Lillhyppo, I seldom shop online, less than 5 times in my whole life. I prefer to go to the shop directly as I an touch the things and make sure I like the real thing before I purchase it. We are in the same boat, shop for our kids nowadays. Seldom shop for our own stuffs. guess most mothers will be like us too.

Hi! I guess that's what mothers do nowadays. Save the best for our beloved kids. I can say most mothers sacrifice themselves willingly just so that they can give the best to their darlings. And we are more than happy to see their smile when they get their new stuffs!

Yes I do. Shopping is like a kind of stress-reliever for me. Haha. But because of the limited budget, I don't really shop for expensive things. I just buy anything that will satisfy me, like clothes, caps, and bags. Back then, I always make sure that I have new ones in a month, but now, not really. I think I only shop now depending on my mood, or if there is an occasion.

Hi Offlimits, I do shopping also depend on my mood. when I am in good mood,I sure will buy one thing back home.If I am not in a good mood to shop, then I will just have a window shopping. At least,I am trapped at home. I don't buy for expensive stuffs, unless it is really good in quality and it is worthy for that price. I prefer to buy for necessity items.

Me too I like going on a window shopping :) It just makes you feel good sometimes, isn't it? Haha. Well, that's true. I think I am still in my right mind in choosing the right products to buy, that is, if they are good in quality. Wasting money for things that are not even worth buying is kind of stupid, I guess. And yes, necessities come first among others. Take care! :)

Hello shia. Usually girls love shopping more than men. I like shopping, but only when I need to buy something for my daily necessities. If I don't need anything, I don't go out shopping. But if I happen to travel to another city, I would love to visit those garment shops and get one or two for my family or for me.

Hi William, My husband also seldom out for shopping unless he needs to buy some necessities for himself. Sometimes when I was out and saw some nice shirts/t-shirts,i will buy it for him too. I guess some guys really don't like shopping and just coincidence,my husband is in that category. When I travel to other countries,I like to buy some souvenirs to keep or either as a present for my friends/families.

Like almost every girl, I also love shopping. I never get tired of shopping. I can shop from morning until evening and not get tired. This usually happens when there are mall sales. I go to the mall at around 10am and I go home at around 8pm. I just have lunch and dinner with some friends at the mall. I always have to buy something before I go home. I like shopping for clothes, specifically tops. I have hundreds of tops yet I still buy. For me, a girl can never have too many clothes. I usually go to the mall once a week.

The most headache is when I moved house, not easy to pack so many clothes.need alot of luggage to fill them up. I even contribute some of my old clothes to poorer people since I never wear them anymore. Do you go for specific brand when you shop for a tops?

I like window shopping...because no need to spend money. However, I had this bad habit when I window shopping, tendency to buy items on promotion! At times all the items are not necessities. Reached home, sounded by my wife Wasting good money...what to do...I always like that, never learned!

Hi James, Maybe next time when you saw some Promotion is going on in the shops,Just walk away!! Never turn back to see it again,or else, you might end up shopping again. It is good to have a practice not to buy other unnecessary items back home. Since I am not working, I never buy things that is not necessary. Only when I have my own income, then my crazy shopping mood is back again.
24 Sep 09
I like to shop but only when I don't have to buy something or there is nothing that I must buy because we need it at home (groceries for instance, I have to shop for them otherwise, there would be nothing to eat and drink at home). I love to browse at shops and when I find something nice, reasonably-priced, good value for myself and others in my household, then it becomes a pleasure to buy it.

Hi Involved62, It is good practice to only shop for necessity. Don't overspent on other unnecessary stuffs as they are just wasted your money. Nowadays, when I am out for shopping, I will make sure that I need this item, then I will buy it. Or else,I better spent the money on food,at least my whole family can enjoy the nice food that I buy.

I love to shop. I mean whether I am buying something for me, my sweetheart or just window shopping I love it. It is so relaxing to me. I also love to try stuff on and see what my style is like or if there is a new style that I might like to put my own little twist on. I dont have alot of money so i like to go to places like goodwill and thrift stores. Not only are they inexpensive but if you look you can find some really great stuff. If I could shop everyday I would, but since working and paying the bills forbids it I still like to go every week. its a great way for me to decompress and relax.

It is good to read some stories at night before bed, spend my quality times with my little boy. I do read magazine, and I love to read parenting magazine nowadays.I do subscribe Parenthood Magazine as it is very difficult to get one at the bookstore.
