Would you guys ever have a snake as a pet? i know someone who wants to get a snake as a pet but i heard a story that really freaked me out. there was this girl who would let her snake sleep in bed with her but when she would wake up it would be completely staright and it means that it was sizing up and getting ready to eat her, thats so freaky. that would but me off ever wanting to be near a snake. Happy Mylotting!

not all the snakes have ability to kill a man. most of the snake-keeper's snakes are very small and safe, but some guys really like to keep one or more big snake as their pet , some are so big and can kill a person easily.their are dangerous animals.

In general, I believe that people should restrain themselves when buying snakes. That being said, I don't see a problem with people owning snakes of a reasonable size; for example, ball pythons only reach a maximum of six feet. I firmly believe that anything over that length becomes too much of a hazard, for both the owner and the snake. Others can feel free to disagree with me, but I fear that the owning of exotic pets has gotten rather out of control.

My friend has a large python and he sleeps with it in the same bed. I can't imagine it would ever hurt him. I'd like to have a snake as pet too and I was close to buying it once but the idea that I have to feed it with mice bothers me. So no snkae for me:(

really? but i adopt lot kind of snake before. they are really nice. they don't bite, and few of those snake are non-venomous...but also got venomous snake which you need license to get one. but most people would get non-venom snake for adopt in home. the most big and scary which no venom is Python snake. well, what i don't like about snake is they eat lizard which very hard to get...i did ask for lot pet shop, but they say not much of them would sell lizard...have to catch our self. so i just try to get a mice for my snake...in the end the rat have kill my snake by biting them.but still, snake are nice to have one!

Many people really love their snakes. I think some of them are probably very responsible owners. However, you have to wonder when you hear about stories such as the issue in Florida. Owners can't care for those large constrictors and now the everglades are full of them. Personally I don't want to be near a snake much less have one as a pet. They are wild animals, they do not have emotions or feelings, they live to eat and reproduce. It's not their fault it's how nature made them. But they do not see any difference in eating a rat vs. the family dog.
