Last Friday I tripped and hurt my right knee. It still hurts and now I have some bruises showing on my knee! It was a real deep bruise! I'm sure it'll be back to normal in a week or two!

Hi, blue65packer. I am very sorry about this. I know how it feels to get a scraped knee. It is not the best feeling in the world, I know. Put some Neosporin ointment on it. It should be fine once it starts to heal up. I hope that you will be okay. Take care.

I bruised my knee 8 months ago! It is fine! I can't believe you thought I just did this! I am amazed that people sometimes relpy to one of my old discussions! I will always be amazed!

Hi bluepacker, what a fascinating and interesting discussion you've made by sharing your bruise with us, however one must always pay attention to a painful bruise and not assume it will just get better without attention, as a friend of mine bruised his leg badly the other week and is now distraught with the pain and may possibly have to be hospitalisd as he did not seek medical treatment earlier.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hurt both of my legs this year and it took me about a month or two for both of them to heal. Mine bruised also eventually. I hit it hard because I usually do not bruise on the outside of the skin.

It will be back to normal but you will have a scar. Clean it with antiseptic solution like Betadine to prevent infection.

...Hi blue65packer. You must be careful of falling, especially on your knees, it can, if you fell directly on your knee as I did, many years ago, start a process of degenerative knees. I don't know how old you are, but what that means is, the cartilage in your knees will start to wear out. If may start in the knee that you fell on, or guess what, it may not. You may not have any no effect at all. But if you feel pain in your knee later on in the future, check it with a doctor. Be careful walking. Feel better. Take care.
