Girls are only collectibles

Let me tell you a short story about one of my classmates. He is from a lower year compared than me, and I became his group mate in one of our subjects in school. We were just going back to are building, when he was insisting that he would be off to meet someone, and that someone is also from the same course and a much more lower batch. We said we had lots to do, and asked why he badly needed to go, he said he was meeting a girl. So we asked further, we asked if he were courting her, he said, he invited her, and she agreed that they date, even though both of them had commitments. And of course we reacted, our country is kind of conservative haha. We told him, then don't go, your just going to get into trouble that way, he replied, I don't want this chance to be wasted, she is a collectible you know, it would be such a waste. Being a woman, hearing that is pain to the ears, and I blabbered and blabbered, then he finally decided not to go haha. A week later, we saw the dude wearing shades inside the room, and there is something wrong with his face, he was brutalized very severely. His eyes were read, and his face sort of got distorted. It was about a woman, 4 big men, including the boyfriend of the previously mentioned girl, punched and severely injured him, four versus one. My first thought was, 'karma', and my second thought, he looks pitiful. But in some way he got his revenge on those guys, because they were expelled on doing so. What goes around comes around, we thought he is going to get in trouble, and we were right. haha

Hmm.. Too bad for the girl because she is only thought of as a 'collectible' and not someone worth spending a whole life with. I actually don't pity your classmate, he got what he deserved. I pity those who were expelled, and worst, all for a girl who couldn't care less what will happen to all of them since she, being committed and all, was flirting with other guys, thus was branded as 'collectible'.

I agree with you, all of the involved parties are at fault. They are still young, and in my opinion, they should not think like that, they'll get worse when they grow older.

What a sad story Kidding aside, I think that guy deserves some beating not because he dated somebody's girl but for saying that women are collectibles. An immature and insensitive guy he was. I hope he learned his lessons well

"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction." -Isaac Newton (?) Got what he deserved? I'm willing to bet that you've never been in a situation where you were hospitilized or came inches from being hospilitized because four guys decided that their actions of violence on a heightened magnitude were justified based on the victim's minute actions. I believe in justice, but only fair justice. The man needed someone to talk to him. I think that you understand that there is a fine line between necessary communication & discplinary action, and BEATING THE SH...physical aggression. I feel angered by the fact that he viewed women as collectables; mere material items, as opposed to human beings. So yes, I can see where you justify your hatred. However, I wouldn't go the extra thousand miles to say that public aggression and spilt blood should be the consequence of his ill thoughts and obvious misunderstanding. On a side note, you do know that the idea karma originated from Buddhist beliefs; the same belief system that also advocated freedom of thought and religious practice, questioning of beliefs, equality between all life forms, whether they be human, animal, or of nature, and peace among living beings? I see raw emotions getting in the way of logic and reasoning. Yes, some women have to go through a lot of BS from the male species and I say it's unfair but if you have the capacity to endure now it'll take you far later in life. I hope you can trust my sound advice as I have endured for over a decade and I've seen the evil of certain humans in its most physical and devistating forms. Have fun, love life!
