As a child did you ever get punished for something you didn't do?

As a child my brother used to blame me for stuff he did even though I was not the one that did it. I would get the punishment and I would get so upset. I could not do anything about it because my mom would not believe me. It made me look like a bad kid. I know I was not. I had fibbed about a few things when I was a kid but I don't think I should have been blamed for other things that I did not do. My brother is the one always in trouble with the law and I am the one doing good in my life. I told my mom later on about the things he blamed me for as a kid and now she actually believes me. I hated how the true came out years later. I am sure this happens to alot of people. Life sometimes is not fair.
