Since these are much cheaper than the original so I buy these pirated cd's. actually they are easier to get too. while we dont get original cd's very frequently here. its not a very hitech city and thus using these are not strictly prohibited. I agree that its far from the clear than the original ones but still people prefer to buy the duplicate or pirated ones becoz they cant afford high costs here ina rural place.

Well there used to be a time when I used to buy pirated CDs of movies and of games, and also of software. But most of the time, my purchases left me unsatisfied for various reasons, one being that they were never of that good a quality, also there were times when I got something else in place of what I wanted. Moreover, these cds aren't changed back usually so it all goes to waste. Now a days I just stick to original stuff. If I have to watch a movie, I would rather watch it in the multiplex, than on a pirated cd. If I need the DVD, then I generally wait for the original to release. Also for the software and games, I get the original ones now, for sometimes you really need the help of the support centers and help guides, if you don't have that, then your purchase goes waste, without you understanding, how to really use it. Take Care

We can't blame those person like us to patronize pirated CD. I do buy pirated Cd but I do not ignore the fact that we are only helping the entertainment industry to fail on their business. I wish those who can buy branded ones support the original copy instead because we can't afford some or be beter to sell those original ones with cheaper price so that all will afford it. When a movie is a movie of my favorite star I do buy the original ones. Of course I go for the quality it will give me. It all depends on how thing will help us saves money.

I try not to do things that may land me in jail. It is stealing and it is illegal and immoral. No matter what you think of the price, stealing is not an acceptable form of protest. Either I wait until the movie goes to Blockbuster or cable TV. I can record it for my personal viewing from the cable box if it is that good. I can buy a used copy from Blockbuster if I want an original copy. I only buy individual songs anymore. Very rarely do I like everything on an album to justify the high price of a CD. For those who opt to buy pirated CDs, please be careful. Sometimes the person selling those CDs is under surveillance by law enforcement. You never know. It would be a shame for you to get caught up in a sting operation. It is illegal to buy stolen goods in the US. You are considered just as guilty as the person selling it to you.

Well you must be knowing that piracy is illegal and I think keeping and buying pirated cd's is illegal. Well that point doesnt matter too much because almost everyone does that. Renting cd's is absolutely legal and whenever I require a cd I just go and rent it, its inexpensive and its good quality too. Also you can't trust pirated cd's, they may run or not and you cant do anything about that, so I think in my opinion its better if you buy original ones or rent and according to me renting is best option.

Oh you're pirating coolcat. Hehe. That's stealing. You're stealing works of other people. It's one way of killing the industry you're pirating say for example the movie industry. If you buy a pirated copy of a certain movie then the movie creator will gain nothing from you in exchange of their movie created. If all people will do that then the movie creator will have a massive lose and can't have a budget to make a new movie again. shadow41

I did not know that there was such a thing....What does this mean "Pirated"? Is it the original singer? or just a copy that some unknown person made, and not the original singer?..I don't mean to appear ignorant but here in the states we just get the original cd, no pirated.....I am not sure where you live but it is much different where you are than where i am i think...

I buy before but since i already have my internet connection I rather download movies from torrent sites than buy a pirated CDs. I keep all my movies collection in an external hard drives. It is much cheaper and last longer than in CDs s most pirated CD, disc are made from cheaper materials thus it really do not last. I observe the pirated CDs which I buy changes its color then become grayish until my DVD player could not read it anymore so have to throw it away. Most pirated CD.s are made from low quality unknown CDs brand..Thus, it is not dependable in the long run

hi coolcat123, pirated cd's are like hotcakes on the street here. everywhere you look you will find vendors selling those. but it is always of poor quality that is why they sell it very cheap. i prefer the original copies and i always choose quality when it is a collector's item. and i do collect them. thank you for this post. ann

I pretty much make my own CD through Limewire downloads or I just copy one from someone else. I have bought the pirated DVD's before. If they can and do make them from a dvd they are fine, but some are what they call theatre. They take their phone or something else in the movies and make a copy of it on the dvd disc. They are awful. You can hear people laughing I have even seen people getting up to go get popcorn. The sound is not that good as the picture is not either.

With data storage device getting cheaper, internet getting cheaper and faster, and digital conversion from DVD to compressed video file is getting better, I found little reason to buy pirated DVDs and CDs. I torrent them. One: it's hard to find good original DVDs here. Two: It's just waste of time and money to go out there and buy them.

hello coolcat123, i never tried buying pirated cds yet. indeed they are much cheaper but i better wait till such time that they are on sale in a mall or in any store for that matter. this way i can have the original in a cheaper price. i intend to have a quality cd. this way, i can watch - if movie, them clearly and watch them over and over again without any problem at all.

Before I buy pirated cds but since it didn't last long and it sounded bad or the movie is bad I stop buying pirated cds. I buy originals now its much better and it helps the industry.

No...never..Buying pirated CDs is theft.People producing this are genius criminals. But the people who actually buy them make money out of it never think of the hard work behind its production.

No, I don't buy Pirated cds or dvds. I don't really know the condition and place where they were made. They could've gotten damaged by the maker or pirater. I would just look for a particular movie or song online and then decide whether or not to download it to listen or watch.

Althogh the pirated Cds are cheaper, but I never buy them. Because their quality is so hard to satisfy.
