Do you like going shopping?? I don't lol as I always seem to pick the Days when Idiots are about
I go up at 5.30 am due to the fact I had a bad Night, being up that early I decided that I might as well go and do my shopping early
I left at 8.30am, first thing, I had this car in front of me that could not find his accelerator, he was 20 mile an hour in a 40 mile Speed limit if there would have been a red light that we would have had to stop at I would have got out and explained to him where the Accelerator is, well lucky enough he turned of
I got to the Supermarket with no further problems
Then I was looking at the Cheese , this bloke behind me decided to sneeze and yep over me without holding his Hands in front of his Mouth, I asked if no one told him manners and if he has not been watching the warnings on TV about Swine Flu, of course I got attitude, told him to sod of and walked away, (I was not happy, as I am scared to get the Swine Flu with my Illness) , went to the Aisle with the Coffee is only to find 2 People chatting down that Isle and their Trolly 's taking up all the room, 3 times I said Excuse me please, 3 times I got ignored, so I just said a bit louder, will you move your Butt please so People can get past, they looked at me and before they could say anything I told them that 3 times I had asked them to excuse me, they moved and clamped up
Got everything I needed and slowly headed to the Checkout, something caught my eye that I thought would be nice for my Daughter for Christmas, next thing a terrible pain in my heal, yep a Trolley, I turned around and this elderly Lady looked so sorry and was apologizing I told her it was ok honest accidents happen, I just finished saying this and whack again, this time with some force and it hurt my back, I turned round and this grumpy elderly Bloke said, you gonna move, I looked at him and said "No I am not going to move, as I am looking at something" him "Want to get past" me "You have plenty of room to go past, there was no need to ram that Trolley into me, you stupid Man" him, "You are in the way, now move or I will do it again" me "I am not in the Bl**dy way and do it again, I shall shove your Trolley where the Sun does not shine "
Him "Why should I walk round you, it means it is further for me to walk" By this time I was ready to blow and quite a few People where looking, also one Lady told him to stop being an A**hole
Then a Shopping Assistant came over, I was so ready to just grab his trolley and ram it back into him as he kept pushing the trolley into me, she looked at the Man said "Right this is the 4th Person you have done this to, now either you behave and apologize to this lady or I will get security to remove you of the Premises"
him-- "Try it I need my shopping so no one will remove me" Shoppassistant----"Well do your shopping and stop harassing the other Customers, now walk round this Lady and do your Shopping" He was about to hit me with the trolley again and I blew, "Do it again and I mean it you will get it back twice as bad, you miserable old Git" I was holding onto his trolley ready to push it if he should
He pulled his trolley away and walked of, the Shop assistant saw to my Heal, as it was bleeding, she apologized a few times and I told her not to worry, she did call through to her Manager and next thing the old Guy was removed as he had only done the same thing again to another Person
I went to the Checkout, put all my Items onto the Checkout, the Lady behind me dropped a bottle of wine, yep, you guessed right, it went over me, please just let me go home, before I get into such a state that my breathing gets worse
I got into my Car, took my Inhaler sat a couple of Minutes then drove home and well the trip home was smooth
When it happens it all happens at once
So do you like going shopping ?????

That was quite an experience...I reckon these sorts of incidents will only become worse unfortunately.. Really, what he did was assault and he should have been charged. unless a bully is confronted and put in his place, they continue to act like bullies.

just about as much as you Gabs.reminds me of the time I was doing my last minute holiday shopping before thanksgiving several years ago, store was really super crowded and nobody was being a bit thankful, just grouchy and mean. so I left my cart to walk a few f eet away to get the dressing and get the hell out of the store and here was this lady starting to move off with my cart full of my groceries and my handbag and my key and billfold, I was beside myself, and grabbed it but she would not let go. she yelled this is mine, and i yelled since when is it yours wwhen my handbag is sitting right there . she tried to bluster out it was hers, but a clerk knew me and grabbed the cart and handed it to me, he told the lady,nice try maam, now get out before security comes,you have been told not to shop in here again, you shoplifted and we let you go but this time I am calling security. he held onto her and me I just got to the checkout line and got out of there. I do not know just what I would have done if he had not known me, all the other p eople kept saying look that old woman is trying to t ake that cart away from the young lady, shame. yak yak. they had no idea it really was my cart. wow. that never has happened to me since. that was my bad day.

Wow it seems like all the idiots had a meeting at the same market. I can't believe somebody would be so rude as to deliberately bump into you like that. What a jerk.
Normally I like going shopping, but just go and get what I need, not spend all day looking at everything. Now my mother-in-law can spend all day just in one store (not food stores though). I just don't understand that.

Lol no I can't spend all Day it is just if something catches my eye I normally spend no more then hour
This Shop does clothes and things like that as well so it is quite handy as I do not have to look around all the time but it was just something my Daughter was on about
But you are right all the Idiots decided to meet at the same shop and it had to be the one I went to ...Sigh

Yes! i like shopping also specially during my salary day.But i go shopping during regular days and in early morning, because i dont like overcrowded in the markets,and i like in morning between 7am-8am because the vegetable are very fresh, you can checked newly delivered from the farm.And you can choose properly without hurrying up because too many people around you.
I also encountered that one during weekends day, there are lot of people in the mall and markets,overcrowded,people are hurry-up, and the line in cashier too much long maybe you will wait 30 minutes before your turned.

Wow, I don't think I ever had such a bad thing happen when I went shopping. I am glad you survived and they took care of the old grump. I am not crazy about shopping, especially since finances have gotten so bad.

In all my years of shopping I've never encountered such a person, and I don't know what I would do if I did. I wish I had been there with you, but you handled it like a champ and didn't really need assistance. I'm proud of you for standing up to him, and the best thing? you didn't let it affect your breathing badly.

Cloud it is good to see you back
Your little Nephew was very poorly while you where away but he is ok now still have to watch him though
It was very hard though to keep my temper as I was tired and he was the last straw lol and no way was I going to let him get the better of me
I really did just feel like pushing the Trolley into him hard but I didn't lol
We certainly would have fun going through the Shops together
I only go once a Month to the big Shops but it is the time again to look out for things for Christmas lol and I was looking at these Straighteners for Mel when he came along
I wouldn't have minded if it would have been accident, like it was with the poor Lady who got upset because she had slightly hurt me or if it was packed, but he wanted me to move so he did not have to walk round
Thank you for the Hug, Cuppa and Cake I loved them

I forgot to answer your question. I used to love shopping, but since my only shopping these days is grocery shopping - NO! I do NOT enjoy shopping and I find myself wondering why I ever did.
However, when I have something "nice" to shop for I DO enjoy it. Sometimes I like pottering round various shops in a shopping mall, just looking, but seldom buy as I already have everything I need and most things I want - but it is nice to look.
Now, if you were here, or I was there, we could spend some happy time looking around the shops together.

Oh good grief!!! Gabs, I would have had the man arrested for assualt and battery. He attacked you with the trolley and caused physical harm. The clerk should have called the police and had this man arrested. He did this same thing to 3 other people?? He has a problem. He needs to be dealt with by the authorities. I can not believe he was allowed to leave or go on to hurt other people.
I love to go shopping but there is no way I would allow someone to hit me with a trolley, cart, baseball bat or a stick. Think about it, girl. What is the difference? He hit you with a trolley or he could have hit you with a different object. The point is: He hit you. He assualted you.

Oh I know Royal but I just wanted to go home by this time as much as I kept my Patience, I was close to tears and just wanted to go back home, he was an old Man, I know no excuse, but I just could not be doing with the Hassle to be honest, if I ever come across him again, then I will take further action, I am actually quite sure that he was a sick Man as I can not imagine a normal Person doing this

I don't like shopping, and the roomie and I divide and conquer the task - she'll go for one part of the list, I'll go for other parts
What a disagreeable man, good thing he was escorted off the premises, people like that need to find a life!

This is the major reason that I dislike shopping so much. The pushing and shoving, the inconsiderate and irresponsible shoppers and many more. I only shop whenever I really2x need to, but the supermart is like a battlefield by itself. Glad you are alright, Gabs..just be more careful next time and try not to get hurt. Take care..

This is a good discussion and I am sure that there are a lot of people who like tr o shop and I am sure that some people like to shop for certain things,while other people might like to shop for different things,and when it comes to me I do not like to shop a lot but I do like to shop from time to time,and one of my favorite things to shop for is video games,and video game accessories because they are fun to shop for,and fun to use,and me and my wife will sometimes go with my mother when she does her grocery shopping and we always end up picking up things that are not on the list,have a great day,good luck with your life,and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

That is cool that you only go once a month,but it sucks that this morning was terrible and I am sure that everyone has shopping days that are good,and shopping days that are terrible for one reason or another,have a great day,good luck with your life,and all of your mylotting goals,and Happy Posting.

Good lord almighty you just had a recipe for a disaster day from the time you stepped out your front door! 
As for the old git ROFL (I love the words you use) I think you handled him perfectly. I would not have been as patient as you were.
I do hope the store know that old farts name and address so that if anyone has back problems because of him ramming them with a trolly, the police will know where to find his sorry behind? ***cough***
After all that when leaving the store I would have been to afraid to even drive home for fear something worse would happen LOL! I'm glad you had a smooth trip home though. You know sometimes we just have those days that when it decides to rain, you'd better have an umbrella, two rain coats, two pairs of rubber boots on, and a hat because it pours like crazy
I almost always do my shopping either at 3AM when nobody is in the market, or I go during the week in the middle of the day that way the kiddos are in school, grumpy old gits are usually done shopping because they go usually before 11AM LOL, and traffic is much easier at those times as well.

Lol I don't know if they took his Name and address but oh I really wanted to fly but didn't lol
I don't normally mind as really that is the only time I get to go out really, but I do not like it crowded as I panic so good Idea to go early, didn't realize all the Grumps where about at that time lol
We have a Pound Shop but there is not one close to me so I always wait till I go and stay with the Kids lol as they have 2 there

Oh I almost forgot to answer you question. I absolutely love to shop, when I have the money to buy extra goodies!
When I don't and I have to only get what's on my list it's boring. But I do love to go to the dollar store and browse for cute little nick nacks, or books, funny gadgets that they have etc. 
Other than that I hate crowded places so I avoid going shopping in very popular places.

Shopping is one of my favorite pasttimes. It's fun to go shopping with another person to test your buying ideas. Sometimes I have just as much fun shopping alone. If I shop with someone else, i have to be careful that I'm not buying what they want instead of what i want. Still, shopping alone or not, it is a great way to spend the day. I don't always have to buy anything either. i love window shopping just as much as buying. The only time shopping is a hassle for me is at holiday time. More and more people in the crowded stores. Sometimes tempers get out of control and arguments appear from nothing. Thoses are times that take away from a shopping experience for me. I also like to shop online. When shopping online, it doesn't matter what attitudes anyone has. My problem with online shopping is the wait!

I like to shop most of the time..I am sorry that you had such a bad time shopping..Some people have no manners what-so-ever..I have never had that kind of experience while shopping..They should have already thrown the man out of the store since he had been running into other people with his cart..

OMG! What a horrible day you had and to start so early in the morning. I feel so bad for you.. And I would have shoved that man's cart back down his throat- How dare he be so rude!
You poor thing, I certainly hope the rest of the day passed without incident.
I am sure you have heard the saying "if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all" - that was certainly true in your case that morning, eh?.
My friend and I joke because her whole life has been almost entirely mad up of bad luck. We say she must be atoning for something she did in a previous life. She is always expecting that at some point her luck has to change and turn around for the better - but after almost 40 years, The hope is starting to fade.

Hello,
I like to shop, but I only like to shop online, it is just so convient for me, and there are no long lines, and rude people around you when you are shopping. I also noticed that more and more people are accepting Pay Pal for a method of payment which is great because your finacial information is very exposed to no one, and that makes shopping so much more safer and worry free while shopping online, so as long as I can shop online, I will have to say yes I like to shop, there may be a change of eart if I had to go out into the stores to shop for everything I needed and wanted. I just love shopping. I have not had any experience like the one you had. So i still love shopping. I go for window shopping and then later go for the real shopping. Ask me for shopping and i can go for it at any time of the day. On the other hand my husband does not like shopping and never accompanies me much. My daughter joins me most of the time and we have a great time shopping...........:)

hi gabs, i see that some one said you are hero.hahaha... i should say the same word. i can not understand you have written so much, it would be the longest discussion on mylot. i like shopping, and i go shopping everyweekend. and do you know what? i would buy something with every shopping. my boyfriend said that i am a crazy woman.:)
