I have read some self-help books and they've been helpful, but I've also read some that haven't.

Hi,wisdomsky,I like to read self help books, especially on positive thinking and healing oneself.I have read plenty of such books .While I don't accept completely what is in one book,I think I have tried to follow what is relevant for me and in the long run I have found the self help books very useful.

Hi wisdomsky, absolutely never. They are created out of the counselling culture which origininated in the US and one doesn't find character by picking bits from a book.

Reading self-help books really helped me. For someone there is no one guy worth enough to talk to. Even it was toke more long time to heal.

Oh yes, I had been reading some self-help books and I like them because they help me improve myself. I have read how to become a better leader, how to sell, how to be self-confident, how to win souls, how to save money, how to play billiards, and a lot of self-help books. I hope that I can have the savvy, the courage, and the strength to read the book of books - the Bible. It is the best self-help book which is the road map of life.
