it seems to me that news on Pacquio's ambition to run for congressman this coming elections has died down or he's just busy training for bout with Cotto? Do you think he's serious about it?

Right now I believe he is training for the Cotto fight. His running for congress is I think going through. He has to concentrate more on his fight since it is very near already. he must win this fight or it might just dampen his political campaign if he loses this fight. This is some kind of moral booster for him if he would indeed ran for congress. I really won't stop him anymore since it is his choice and its the poeple in that district who will choose if they want Pacquiao to be their congressman in the coming elections.

I think being a Filipino himself has the right to bid for any political position. I really think that if he really wants to serve then let him be and join politics already. I think he has proven many times of what he can do on the boxing ring and he is looking for another outlet where he feels would be recognized in another arena which in this case the political arena. if he would allow himself to be used by TRAPOs well it is his decision to choose and the poeple to judge him during election time. This was proven already during the first time he ran for congress against a well known political rival he lose because it seems his rival is very popular and is known to have contributed to the community she serves. Now as a strategy he changes his district and found a new district which he think he would win. I just hope that he is correct in his judgement to really be in this arena.

I agree. He should make politics the least of his worries for now. I don't see no reason why we should keep Pacquiao away from politics since it's his choice, I'm sure he's mature enough to know what's good for him or not. For now, he should focus his concentration on winning his fight with Cotto and hopefully Mayweather Jr. After that, he can do whatever he want, even run for president since he can very well afford it LOL. Thanks for sharing. LOL.

i really hope that he won't pursue his dream of entering into politics. he should focus more on his boxing career or of his being a celebrity. his mom is doing great in terms of making a mark into the people's minds... :D

Pacquiao should make politics the least of his worries for the moment,He's at his peak and I'm pretty sure politics will destroy all that. Maybe in a few years, if he's retired and don't have anything more to do with his money join the political arena and let the people decide. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

I am not really sure aboout it... i think he is just concentrating on his coming fight with Cotto and doesn't want to be distracted with politics... but i heard he is still bent on running as governor or Sarangani... but i sure hope he won't pursue that anymore... he should just stick to boxing... because that is where he is really good at...

I agree, Pacquiao is at his greatest and he should make it that way. Putting politics into the picture will only distract him. Maybe in a few years and when a new pound for pound king comes up then that would be the best time to run for whatever position he wants. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

like what everyone else is saying, i also hope that manny pacquiao will re-consider not run for politics. he should not allow himself to be used by TRAPOs. he already make a name for himself and his country and no need to put a blemish on it. he can help and be of service to his countrymen, by doing other things and not limit himself to politics. he will be used, and abused and really, manipulated by senior politicians and he should not allow that to happen.

I don't think we can keep Pacquiao away from politics forever. When that time comes, I hope he will come prepared not only financially but with the wit since we all know that it could destroy the image that he has portrayed as boxing icon and a hero us Filipinos. Our only consolation is, if he made it to become the number pound for pound boxer in the world, became a billionaire, then there should be no reason why he can't be number one in politics. I just hope that his being religious will guide him through it. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
