I don't know from what I heard tomato can cause appendicitis because of the seeds of it. If I'm going to eat raw tomatoes I remove the seeds of it because I don't want to have appendicitis. Eating more meat and eating salty foods can cause kidney stones. Drinking a lot of water can help to avoid having kidney stones.

Yes, tomato seeds can cause kidney stone. Don't eat tomato with egg omellete. Tomatoes, as they have high oxilate content, are prohibited for patients suffering from kidney stones. More the quantity of the tomatoes, more risk for kidney stone. This concept is scientifically based. Our excretion systems are not able to through out the unnecessary part of the tomatoes which are not required by our body and gradually over the time it turned into kidney stone. If you want to eat some tomatoes, remember to remove the seeds of the tomato and then use in preparation of your food.

Yes, my husband gets kidney stones often and he was told to avoid tomatoes and products made with tomatoes, because they are high in oxilates, which can contribute to the build up of calcium in the body and when there is too much calcium you develop stones. They are perfectly fine to eat if you do not have issues with kidney stones, but for those who tend to develop them frequently they might want to avoid tomatoes. But there is medication that can be taken that will help as well if you want to avoid the kidney stones using medication but if you want to do it naturally avoid foods that are high in oxilates.
