i am also not addictive. i was there about six months without watching TV, coz i didnt take a connection for six months when i changed to new house. some extent we can accept that its a vision. now a days if you turn any channel, serials. If we watch children also watch the same, that spoils their mind right from the childhood. you know in our country, the way the serials are directed.

Hi Govijo Sometime back we have shifted our house to someother place where it took two days for the cable operator to shift the connection and really it was like two years, as we are used to watch it regularly. Reading the news in the news paper is different from watching the news in the TV set.

Yes you are right it is a good way to know what is going on in the world. Without television I would not know as much as I do about the world. I have gone away though to cabins with friends where there is no television. We had a wonderful time. We played games and talked in to the wee hours of the night. We had a radio that we played during the day while fishing and if anything major had happened in the world we would have gotten the information from the radio.

When DH and I got married, we went to Hawaii on our honeymoon. One of the hotels that we stayed at for three days did not have television, newspapers, radio or telephones. It was a very exclusive hotel and initially we were upset. By the time that we left, we were so relazed because there were no outside distractions. We go back every year and look forward to getting away from the hectic pace of our everyday lives. I do think that it is important to stay connected and know what's going on in the world so I wouldn't want to live like that for a long period of time but every once in a while it's kind of nice.
