So sick of being broke

Hi. And when I say broke, I mean broke. I have $2 to my name. And no income coming this week at all. I am very depressed. If I wasn't sick, I could work. But all these health problems have really gotten be down. From major depression, to diabetes, to intestinal disorders, I have had it. Mind you, living on $65 a week isn't a major party either. But at least I could pay my bills (sort of) and have a couple dollars for gas. Now I don't even have that. This stupid child support. I am fed up with it. I don't know why this employer of my ex's has to keep doing this to me. If she would stop "forgetting" to send it in, I wouldn't be in this spot. And the recovery unit is not help they just tell me to call back in 2 weeks. Well that sure isn't going to help me NOW when bills are due!! And my disability case. I haven't heard from my lawyer for months. I keep calling and emailing, but nothing. I wish something could be done to help me. But ive got all the assistance I can get. Its not fair. There are people out there living on welfare and government money and there is nothing wrong with them! Then they give the run around to people that really are sick and need help!! Sorry about the venting, I am just fed up with life basically. My utility bill is late again, along with all the other bills. I just hope they don't shut me off. I guess I will just keep praying that she will send in my payment. Thanks for all of you that have supported me. I am just so depressed right now I didn't know what else to do.

I know what broke is like...I am there now.....400 bucks a month supporting 2 kids to boot is not an easy task......I tend to get a few online things going to get a little bit here and there......freebies are always fun to get in the mail..somethings can be real treats.

Hi rusty2rusty, I am sorry you are going this to. And two kids is so much harder on you. I have a son, he is 16 but he has a part time job. So if he wants something he does have the money to buy it. I just wish I could support him. How do you get freebies? The sites I have seen always require a fee. Good luck to you.

You should never pay a fee to find freebies. I am a member of some yahoo freebie groups, a couple of forums and a social networking siote where some members share freebies. I also have a blooger.com site called Freebies, Deals, and Contests where I share freebies, deals and contests.

Hi Rusty, If I add you as a friend could you let me know those sites? It would be nice to get samples of things I really need, like cleaning supplies, which I can't even afford to buy. Thanks

I know the feeling very well. I have health issue due to my worn out back. Have not been able to go back to work in 2 and a half years. And I never will be able to do my work again. So I am trying hard to make ends meet. Not event the middle of the month and I have nothing left. But, I have learned to deal with it. I have two credit cards in debt. I cannot pay them anymore. They are bringing me to court. Okay, what do I do? I can worry about it, or take it as it comes. I prefer to take it as comes. What are they going to do? Kill me? I have no more money, what can they take away from me? Nothing. Put me in jail, no problem, get food and don't have to pay bills, hahaha! I did not always think this way. But, i finally reached the point, where I don't care anymore, I do my best. What more can I do? I do buy me a lottery ticket. Just one, this gives me some hope.

Hi Margajoe, Sorry it took me so long to reply. My son uses the computer at night. I know what you mean. I have a bad disc in my back so I can never do manual labor ever again. And I am in debt to with a credit card. So far Ive been making the payments every month, but if I don't get any money soon, I will be delinquent. I am almost maxed out to. And I only used it for emergencies. You have to have some enjoyment, and the lottery ticket gives you some hope to. Thanks for responding. And good luck. It is nice to know I am not the only one in trouble.

Hi cutepenguin, Actually today I had to pay with change to get gas. And it wasn't much either. It's ok that you have no advice. I really just wanted to vent and see if anyone else was in this situation. Everyone's support is so much appreciated. And it feels good to see kind words. Thanks

I'm on SSI disability benefits myself and it's a tight squeeze since everything is rising except the benefits...and then to hear the "lovely" news that anyone who receives SS, SSi, SSI-D or veteran's benefits will not be getting their cost of living raise sucks May I give a suggestion that JUST might help? There is a website called Wish Upon A Hero where one can register then ask for a "wish"---it can be nearly for anything, even help with paying bills and via Paypal people can donate money to people for legitimate reasons. I belong there myself : http://www.wishuponahero.com/ Another place similar is Modest Needs... :http://www.modestneeds.org/

Well here's hoping you get disability benefits soon, though I hear it's so much harder to get and the wait is long...I've had my benefits since 1996 and it too took a little over a year to finally get them...

Thanks so much pyewacket. Maybe it will help. Can I ask how long it took you to get your disability? I have been waiting over a year now and I am waiting to see the judge but they said it is a long waiting list. I just hope something happens soon. Thanks so much for the websites. I hope they can help me.

I know what you mean about diablity, even though I am in constant pain aparently I don't qualify. I have no money and have to live with people who scream at me and make me cry. Want a friend? I could use one too.

kittenskysong, I would love to be friends. No one can ever have to many. Did you go through the disability process? What kind of pain are you in? I have diabetes, chronic back pain, low immune system, digestive disorders that cause daily pain, and more. I think the worst one is my depression. It has gotten worse since I got sick. What people scream at you? Because of my health, I have to live in a small crampy apartment where I deal with constant noise from an upstairs neighbor and the complex wont do anything about it. So my life pretty much stinks to. Write soon.

I have pain and stiffness in my hands and feet. I am depressed, but no one believes that. It doesn't help my brothers scream at me, and then tell me I started the fight. I hate them. I also have diabetes type 2. I just got it, and I have asthma which is pretty well controlled I didn't sleep hardly at all last night which makes me feel fuzzy. And yes I applied for disability and got denied, they told me to go back to work at my old have to call in every day to make sure theres work job. Which was a joke, I almost feel like writing them a letter and telling them I can't type fast enough anymore to hold down that job. email me sometime kittenskysoong@gmail.com

Sweetie I'm so sorry to hear you're still going through this personal hell. It seems to me that you need to change your lawyer since they're not calling you back. It doesn't seem that they have your interest in mind so maybe it's time to change lawyers and go with someone who's near your area. Look in the yellow pages in the phone book and find one and give them a call and ask if the first consultation is free and if it is, set up an appointment. Tell the lawyer everything, including this suppose to be lawyer working on your case and how they're not calling you back. He/She will know what to do from there. Also, find out how much it will cost you for them to take your case. Usually it's a percentage of what is owed you. Another thing you could do and this is just a suggestion, ok? You're not on mylot that much in which you could respond to more discussions or start your own and make some money that way. It isn't much but when in the situation that you're in, anything is better than nothing at all. Just a suggestion sweetie, no pun intended, ok?

Hi Cats. Hope you are doing better to. I will have to try a different lawyer maybe. But I did sign papers for him allowing him to represent me. I know I haven't been on lately, I really should, but ive been sick again. It's really tough when you are always in pain. I just wanted to sleep. Thanks for your suggestion. Take care.

I'm in the same boat.My problem is there are no jobs where I live.I've been out of work for almost a year now.I'm out of money sources,so I'm wondering what to do for the month of January.I won't have any income anymore.I,would be ok if my ex would start paying his child support to me.He owes 12,000 and the probation department don't enforce it being paid.Well I hope you're doing alright now,I see it's been a month since you made this posting,so I hope things changed for you.Good luck.
