I haven't done that. But when it comes to saving time I also save time. Like when I am going to shopping, I will make sure I will go after my work so that i can save money and my time. I will not do it for other day or weekend, I will do it after work so it is a one journey only. I also saves time at home , when I do all my writings and when at work I will re type on the net. That is for me is saving time.

No! I keep all mine. I have some my daughter and my grand daughter made when they were young, some Hallmark ones, some my grandmother gave me before she passed away so I couldn't part with any of them. I don't keep them on a shelf but wrapped in tissue and in a sturdy box in the storage room under the stairs.

I got rid of some of my old ornaments this year too. I bought me a few new ones though. The other ones were kind of worn and I want to downsize also to make things easier for myself.

Good for you. I still havent done that. I do have a lot of knickknacks or whatnot in my room and I really want to clear them up. I do agree that they take so much space and does require a lot of cleaning and maintaining. I want to get rid of them for practical reasons but I cant because I am a sentimental person. These objects just have some sort of meaning for me and sometimes they are attached with some form of fond memory that just makes me keep them all. But I am cleaning my room this weekend, maybe Ill get rid of some of the stuff that feels more like junk rather than of sentimental value. I can also just keep them somewhere and not make them into displays anymore. Eh well, however my cleaning binge goes, I just hope that I would be successful as you were.^_^

We actually have very few ornaments in our house since we just moved here seven months ago. However, when we were preparing to move, there was a lot of decorative things that I decided to part with. It made sense for me because we didn't need all of that stuff when we were starting fresh. We still do have a lot of things in our house but I also find that there are other things that I still need to get. I do have to admit though, not having all of the trinkets decorating the house does make it easy to dust and keep free of cobwebs.

This is one thing me and my wife agree upon, throw away what we dont need, it saves time cleaning the house and reduce clutter.

Actually, I just gave some stuff away today, for that very reason.

We don't really have many decorations and amongst the ones we do have we do not get rid of them. We do not dust our whole room except ever so often, and even so the dust isn't bad enough to alert our allergies! We are allergic to dust though.
