Confused (and I did read the FAQ's)

I am so confused right now. I'm also relatively new to this so I appreciate your patience. I have read the FAQ's many times over and try my best to follow the discussion guidelines. I have basically been doing nothing except Mylotting all weekend. I've posted a bunch of discussions, I've received a bunch of comments, I've commented back on pretty much every one of those with as much substance as possible. I've rated responses, award best response, added new friends, uploaded a couple pictures and even got a couple referrals. Well, I made 4 cents for Saturday for participation, I'm not and I'm not showing anything else except a 5 cent thing posted to today's earnings (mon) for a task. What happened to Sunday? I am not expecting much, but, I thought I would get something. Does anyone know what might have happened here? Also, is there a particular time of day that mylot posts your earnings for the previous day? Or a cutoff time where all earnings made after that time carry over to the next day? Thanks in advance! :-)

Sadly the majority of new users just land and start posting without reading the FAQs (and often the Guidelines) and they waste the first part of their time here. Only after they discover them do they begin to realise that they probably were doing several things, not exactly wrong but not right either, and they regret their haste to start posting. It is never too late to learn. You have many Lotters here who will help you, especially if you are willing to use the advice that is offered. We were all new once and some of us are still here thousands of posts later. I can assure you that I never once thought, almost three years ago, that I would clock up this many but it becomes a habit, just like going home Ask when you are uncertain. I am sure you know how to use PMs by now

The fact that you have so many posts and are still willing to take the time and effort to post a link to help a new person is a testament to the mylot community. I am learning quickly and I believe I've pretty much got it. But, it is nice to know I have a friend I can pm real quick if I have a question. I don't know why I hadn't thought of that this morning. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that I hadn't had my coffee yet. Thanks again for your kindness and inspiration. :-)

Thank you so much for that link. I read all through the FAQ's, I never saw this. I am enjoying Mylotting alot. One thing I have struggled with though is the layout. Obviously I'm getting it as I mylot more, but it can be pretty confusing when you first join. As you predicted, as well, my finds have been added. I must've been in a lapse period. I will do my best to practice patience from now on. That is great advice, not only for mylot, but life in general. :-)

Yeah. I figured it is something like that. I've seen lots of posts about how good mylot is about paying, and few about ripping people off. Since it is not even there, it probably just hasn't showed up yet. I'm just trying to figure out how all this works. Have a nice day! :-)

I am not so sure, but sometimes, it get credited to the next day depending on your demographic location. For me the account get updated during the night. Just post as per normal, following closely on payment could only stress yourself up. Cheers.

Yes, you are absolutely right, and stress kills. And I plan on posting as normal as I'm really having fun mylotting. I am going to write up some discussions later, when I have more time. I am not showing anything for sunday at all, like it doesn't even say sunday. So, if there is some sort of lapse, maybe it is "on it's way". :-)

Hi, I am also new and I have written discussions and give my comment for a total of 36 and my erarnig the next day was 0.17 cent, but I think is better if the comments are longer and that in ever discussion you instert an image so that you will earn more...but if you think that with this site you can earn more that in other sites, you are false. Sorry for my englisch I'm Italian.

I understand your english just fine. I haven't been uploading images with my discussions, that is a good idea. I don't expect to make a lot of money here. I am enjoying writing and interacting with the members. Of course, while I am doing that, I am getting paid ( alittle). It only makes sense to try and maximize my time on here as far as earnings. I was partly curious as to how much I would make for so many posts as it was the first time I really concentrated on Mylot and wrote for a long time. Partly, I was impatient because I hadn't had coffee yet. It's all good, the payment showed up (81 cents) later that day. All the knowledge I picked up by reading discussions on mylot that day are wirth way more to me than what I got paid. :-)
