Hey there, myLotters! Previously, I had published a book called The Armor of God. This book takes an indepth look at what it truly means to wear God's armor - how each 'piece' works in concert with the others. This discussion, however, is not about that book. I am currently working on another book. This one is concerning Christian faith. I want to explore what it truly means to have faith. While I am still in the early phases of writing, it occurs to me that it would be great to include personal stories about answered prayer and leaps of faith in the book. So, here is my invitation to you. I would like to hear from you about specific moments in your life when God answered your prayers. This discussion is a chance for you to be included in the book. Please, provide details here. If I decide to include your story, I will contact you directly via a personal message to get more information from you. I will include as many personal stories as space allows in the book.

A couple of years ago my daughter started vomiting. We figured it was just the flu but after a couple of days it was still happening so we took her to the emergency room. They hydrated her and said it was probaby the flu and sent us home. The next day we found ourselves in the emergency room again. They took tests and hydrated her but still could not figure out what was going on. She could not keep anything down not even a drink of water everything she ate or drink came back up immediately. We were going to the emergency room daily just to keep fluids in her and she was losing weight rapidly. I was terrified. I thought my daughter was going to die of starvation. Of course I prayed for my child I was terrified. Finally we went and had some X-Rays done and they said that she had gasteoporisis, which basically meant that her stomach was paralized and was not working. Talk about scared. I read about the condition and it said that in children it could often be treated but in some cases a tube would have to be inserted in the child. It sounded terrible and I prayed this would not be the case for my daughter. Luckily the treatment worked and her stomach began to work again. I don't know if it was prayer that helped but I am grateful for what ever worked to help her.

Wow, that is certainly a frightening experience. I firmly believe that all things happen for a reason. God wants us to seek Him. It certainly seems to me that prayer played a factor in your daughter's recovery. Thank you for sharing your story!

Thank you for your comment. I'll have to take a look at Galcom - sounds like a great company. I am really hoping to get some great examples of answered prayer, so maybe I can find some contact information on that website.
