Do you like folding clothes too as a chore?

Well, as long as we still live we can’t get away from the routine chores at home like washing clothes, folding them and ironing too. It’s a cycle for so many years and it will only end when one is out of this world already. Washing and ironing clothes are two heavy tasks at home and folding clothes is the second. If you’re the same person doing this job, im pretty sure you will have something to say. Aside from the two chores , folding becomes a heavy task too especially when there are loads of clothes to fold. What’s your side on this?

yes that's true. when we're living alone, we need to do all those tasks.in fact it's more fun to do stuffs for our own selves than serving other people. the great thing on that too is that there are only few stuffs to do.

I don't like folding the washing. Not one bit. But I've found from experience that it's worse if you wait. How horrible to see a laundry basket piled high with clothes just thrown there, from off the line or out of the drier! A big tangled mess that makes you think you should be (shudder) IRONING them, not just folding them! Now, I fold as I go, and it's much more agreeable. When you take them off the line, as I do, or out of the drier if that's your thing, they are as smooth and easy to fold as they will ever be. So I fold as I go, and that way, I have a basked of folded washing to bring in. Then it's just a case of putting it away :-) (That's bad enough!)

My husband, daughter and I all fold the clothes and do the washing, so neither is a huge chore for any one household member. When we were young and had two little ones, I began training them early to fold their own clothing, towels, etc. The only thing they had a problem with (and do to this day) is a fitted sheet. No matter how many times they try, it usually comes out looking like a wadded up bundle of trash. lol

Yes, I fold my clothes it comes along with doing the laundry. I dry on permanment press so if I fold right after the dryer stops I do not have to iron which I hate more then washing or folding.

Sometimes folding clothes can become too tedious at times, especially if there's a lot. I usually don't mind putting the clothes in the washer, but sometimes, for some reason, putting the clothes in the dryer can seem like such a chore that I don't want to do! I think though that when it comes to chores I don't really mind washing clothes; what I hate more is washing the dishes! It's weird because I can wash the dishes so fast but still.. I hate it :(

doesn't bother me about folding clothes, but ironing is a different story. i won't iron unless i got a few things to do. my sons clothes don't always get folded cause their only small, and he puts them on the floor when he drags his clothes out to put them on. much to my disgust.

Hi, I do all the laundry at home - washing, drying, folding and ironing. Fortunately it's only the two of us - husband and I. Folding clothes isn't that bad - I can put up with everything except the ironing, which I detest tremendously! I usually do the folding in front of the TV; well, at least my eyes and ears are entertained while my hands work!

I don't like it, but I don't really dislike it either. I live alone, so I view it as just something I have to do. I guess I am neutral!

I have never minded to sort and wash clothes but when it comes to putting them away its a different story!! I hate to have to fold and put away all the clothes and with four different people to put it up for it seems like it takes forever! I am always trying to figure out little tricks to make it go by faster but it never seems to go quite fast enough!

I love folding clothes especially if i am on the mood, i love sorting out the colors and styles and then folded it neatly. I could take some time to fold on my clothes, but is i am not in the mood, i just let it loose in my cabinet.

hello flagella, that reminds me, maybe i should at least fold my clothes now after doing laundry a few days ago. well, it's the least thing i could do at home besides my most get's the dry clothes from the hanger most of the time. there's nothing wrong with folding clothes. i may have to arrange my closet again too

Hi Flagella, Yes i considered folding clothes as on of the house chores. I love folding clothes. i even have the steps and style of doing it. I sort the clothes first like my husband's, my kids' and mine. Then i separate those to be used in the office and those house clothes. Then i fold it according to colors. That's how i fold clothes the systematic way. I love seeing our clothes well organized even our towels and beddings.

I try to pick and keep clothes that don't require folding. I have lots of hangers where they just go from the dryer to hanging in the closet. Unfortunately, I can't hang everything. Like socks and underwear, etc. I still have to fold some.

well i'd rather wash clothes than fold and iron them. on second thought i'd rather not do any of those chores. anyways, i have someone to do those for me. i cannot seem to fold any shirt or jeans neatly.

Folding is everyday routine for a housewife. From the clothes you put in the drawers, one can see how organized you are. It is quite tiresome, but once it becomes a habit, you can do it pretty fast. There are folding tools sold in shops, and I see video teaching clothes folding just like magic.
