Which century do you think was better? Sachin scored his century at a strike rate of less than 50 on the last day of the match on a dead pitch. Gambhir too scored a similar century playing on the second last and last day of the match. WhileGambhir had the added pressure of opening the innings and creating a precedence for the batemen to follow. If India had lost a couple of wickets in the beginning it would have added extra pressure on the batting lineup. I think Gautam played brilliantly yesterday and again today in the first session where though he scored slower than yesterday he made sure he didnt give away his wicket. I agree he got out to a poor shot but by then the match was almost sure to be a draw and there didnt seem to be any real motivation to keep playing. What is your opinion?

I guess they both were equal. You cant really chose between them. If gambhir had the task of opening the inning, then Sachin had the task of making sure India should not slip from there and he remained there till the end. Both played brilliantly.

I think all the seven centuries scored on this pitch were of similar weightage which to me is very less. When the bowler has nothing in his favor it is easy to score runs. In fact it is more easy to play the strokes than to defend in such situations. I would not give too much credit to any batsmen for their centuries on this pitch. One pleasant thing of all this though is the fact that Gauti is now developing into a second innings specialist with 4 of his 7 centuries coming in 2nd innings. One of the key to Aussie success over the last 2 decades have been the fact that they have had at least 2 players who have scored bulk of their runs in the second innings. Cheers! Ram

You mean the century scored by Dravid on day one has the same weightage as a century scored by sachin o the last day? You think the circumstances were the same? I beg to differ. The century Dravid scored was under extreme pressure. whereas Sachinscored a century just for the sake of it.

I will not compare between Sachin's century and Gambhir's century. Both of them have really played well. So both of them are equal to me. Gambhir on these days are really playing well in test matches as well as onedays. And Sachin is a world class batsman with over 30000 runs in tests and onedays is a joy to see....
