Hi friends, can you let me know the answers you give when you get a call for some credit card, personnel loan. I had one of my friends who never got annoyed by these calls and used to talk with them so that they themselves got annoyed by talking with them something really nonsense, like if you are giving me free loan, I am ready to take a loan if you can buy out all what my girlfriend asks me to buy for her. He used to relax himself and enjoyed if someone called for such marketing, he used to say it works as a stress buster for him. What do you do when you get these telemarketing calls.

I tell them to take me ff their list. Then if they call back you can get them into trouble. I hate these calls one call I got was from a guy that couldn't even talk english and I told him to take me off the list and he said no then he told me to shut up. He was really rude I am not sure why because I was pretty calm until he told me to shut up.

Hi there hireshd, I do get your friend's thinking as odd as it seems. It all depends on my mood of the moment as to how I deal with these people. If it is a recorded message or I am just not in the mood for them then i quickly pick up and then hang up the phone. This just ends the whole thing instantly. I have caller ID so that helps...I can usually tell it is a telemarketer before picking up. Sometimes I'm just in the right mood to annoy them just as much as they annoy me and I will just pick up and talk to them. I will tell them that I'm busy cooking dinner right now and ask for their home # to call them back. When they won't give it out, I'll ask why not? Well it's because they are not at work and why should I call them on their time at home. I'll respond with why should you call me while I'm at home...do you think that's fair? It'll go on for that sometimes quite a while. Sometimes they just get annoyed and hang up. I would not want that job for anything. They'd have to pay me an awful lot to do that for a living. I'm pretty sure they don't get many that answer, grateful for the call.

I always tell them to take me off their list, I am not interested, and if they push, I just hang up on them. One thing your friend should do is sign up for the national do not call registry that the government offers. It is here https://www.donotcall.gov/.

I don't know when I figure out that it's some kind of telemarketer or something along those lines I generally just hang up so I don't have to be rude and turn them down. I'd rather just avoid the call the be mean to them.

I don't like telemarketing, I think it is annoying bugging someone on the phone to buy something. I tell them I can't make the decision alone and my husband is not in the country (which is true). A better way of marketing is through referalls.

we've had a few calls lately about things, namely donations and it's getting a bit annoying. so we just say we're in drought, really bad and hang up. i had the rspca ring a while back wanting a donation, i gave them a good story about my sons pony and how we could have a vet bill from her and my dog had just been run over by my boss, and was in shock and could also have to go to the vets. it was all the truth, that got them of the phone. apart from that some you can't understand their accents.

I typically just say I'm not interested at the moment. Sometimes I don't pick up - but in those rare cases that I do pick up, I just wanna be honest with them. I also tell them that I don't wanna waste their time - and that they could move on to the next person because they're not gonna make a single penny from me.

As long as I don't need the phone for anything else and I'm not waiting for a call, I ask the telemarketer to hang on a sec while I turn the television down/take the pan off the stove and then I just don't go back to the phone!!! I usually leave it for about 15 minutes, guaranteed they've gone when I go back....let them waste their phone bill!!!
