Wear Sunglasses?

well sunglasses are meant to well, block out uv rays and sun. over the years it has become more of a fashion accessory than really blocking out sun. so what about you? do you wear sunglasses for the "cool" factor? or to protect your eyes from UV rays that can damage the eyes? for me, i wear them to minimize the sun's brightness. i have a tendency to squint a lot because of the sun, so i wear sunglasses to let my eyes relax.

I live in Florida where the sun is very bright most of the year so wearing sunglasses is a necessity here. I wear prescription glasses with transition lenses that darken automatically when I go outside but I also have a pair of prescription sunglasses that are a bit darker.

Down with "crows feet"! I wear mine to protect from glare. I don't want to squint. I could care less about the cool factor. As for fashion, I have a grabby 11 month old son. I have a 6 year old daughter. Most of my sunglasses cost $10 or less.

I need my sunglasses everyday. Like you, I also squint when I go out during daytime Maybe it can help with me looking cool lol but I do not buy fancy or sunglasses that are currently in fashion. I buy sunglasses that are a little expensive but very sturdy and I use them until they give up on me. Have a nice day!

I use only sunglasses to protect eyes from direct sunlight, or too harsh when I was driving.

I've grown very dependent on sunglasses when I am driving. I don't like squinting and I think glares are very distracting on the road. So I keep my glasses in the car. Even in winter, the brightness of the snow on a bright clear day is sometimes distracting too. Of course it doesn't hurt that you look cool wearing them.
