There is no such thing as a "bad omen," so you don't have to avoid black cats Or ladders, or even cracks in the sidewalk. Even a Friday the 13th can be the Best day of Your Life if you choose it to be so. See everything in your life as a miracle even the growing of the grass, the passing of a cloud, the smile on a child's face...and the beating of your own heart. Live the miracle that is Life itself and don't worry about "bad omens." Remember, nothing is evil, lest thinking make it so. (Wm. Shakespeare).

I don't believe in "bad omen". I don't think there is any reason to think so. Since God who is good is the creator and sustainer of nature there is no reason why "bad omen" should be observed in the nature or the world in which we live.

well if I see dark clouds I can predict a storm and prepare for it. Most of the time I will be right.

Bad omens as in superstitions? No, I don’t believe in omens, good or bad, mainly for two reasons. First of all I have studied and come to the conclusion that many omens or superstitious beliefs have a much purer valid reason behind them…they were wrapped in fear or good thoughts just so that people will avoid / follow them without questioning and also because not everything can be explained to everybody. Secondly, is my husband…there was a time when I would not cross a street if a cat walked across …a CAT….not even black cat (though that made matters worse)…one day, we both were walking and a cat just sauntered across and I froze in my tracks…hubby was so exasperated that the just walked on (he doesn’t believe in all these) just to prove the point and from then on, whenever a cat crossed our path, he would walk first…that set me thinking you know…nothing ever happens to him only because he does not believe that anything will happen…I tried it out and it was true!

Hi sudiptacallingu, Thank you for commenting. Many people are superstitious about such thinks but there is no need for it. Blessings.

To be honest, I don't really believe in them. I don't really believe that walking under a ladder or seeing a black cat will be a bad omen and bring me bad luck or something like that. It's just really the type of thing that I believe in. It's not part of my beliefs.

Sometimes just a bad interpretation can lead to something bad even if the intention was pure and good.

I don't bother too much about bad omens. If I have an important work means I will just ignore bad omens and proceed with my work. If it is not so important matter and if I can postpone it for the sake of this bad omen, well I may do it. I follow astrology, numerology, vaasthu and gem stones all in this fashion. In other words if I follow a numerology rule that may not cost me anything but it may do me good means I will follow it. And if an astrology rule says that I should not active business for two years, well i won't bother about astrology and carry on with my routine, I hope You cam understand my views, Pose, thanks.

Hiya Pose123, Nice to see William Shakespeare being quoted I was born near to where he was in Stratford-On-Avon England. I think we have to live the miracle of life itself and not believe in all that stuff about bad omens. Also nothing is evil unless your thinking about it might make it so but even then I don´t believe just thinking about bad omens can make them happen. Thinking about bad omens might make you almost believe it could come true but the truth is it won´t. I have had a Black Cat cross my Path more than once and nothing happened.

Hi lovinangelsinstead, Thanks for your comment and we agree. Some of the happiest years of my life was when I owned a black cat and I practically grew up walking under ladders. What I may think of as good, you may see as bad and it happens all the time. Blessings.

In fact, everything is caused due to psychological effects. If that occurred since the beginning, not liking some of the things which are not liking all the things that are connected together, will feel an ominous atart not is the liking.

I don't believe in such things as bad omens. I believe in the power of human's mind. Bad things we afraid of, sometime really happen because we think about it all the times. Otherwise, the good things we hope for may also come to reality just because we keep that hope in our mind. So, why do we keep thinking about bad things? Keep the wonderful things in our mind, and our life will be wonderful too.

For me, I don't believe in bad omens. Well, I heard on some situations that bad omens did occur. But maybe these were just mere coincidence. There are able lot of instances that could happen, and some people have made meanings on it, making that certain situation into an omen. But I only believe in one thing, and that is, I believe that there is God and that HE only make things possible.
