24 hour post offices?!

That's awesome. No longer do you have to stress about the impossibility of making it to work on time because you have to stop by the post office to mail a box. I wonder if they are 24-7 all year round? My local PO isn't even open on Saturdays! The town is a bit rural, so most people have po boxes anyway I guess. They recently put in an automated machine that sells stamps and mails packages, but more often than not you still need a human teller. I wonder if there will be a line on April 15th? Seems like Tax day and the day after Thanksgiving are the two most populated PO days.

I never even knew that there was a 24 hour post office. That is odd but it could be very very useful. I know I could have used one ages ago when trying to mail my sister's birthday present. Also had a problem with sending out books that people purchased from my gf and I from Amazon that could have gone out. Geez... now I want one here!

hi maezee I live in Garden Grove Ca and for a number of years certain post office branches stay open like that brought on for income tax time and they just kept them. I have never used one but can see if it was really important that you put something in the mail so it can be delivered at a certain time you would need' a postoffice that was op;en all the time. so its good for somethings.
