Hello dear myLotters. I have been watching the tour companies advertising and promoting tours with ocean cruise liners. They certainly look very beautiful and luxurious. I have never taken cruise lines so far. I guess I am not that rich yet ! Ha ha ! How about you ? Have you taken cruise lines on luxurious holidays to fantastic places ? Or, do you dream of taking them ?

Cruise. Oh good. Take a cruise. Take a cruise. They are probably a lot. Ya. Fun. Go. Never went. I would like to go, except that I am to crazy to really enjoy a cruise. I really wouldn't like the people, or so it's been said. Actually I just don't think I'd like to go with anybody I really know at this time. I'd like to go alone. Hopefully it wouldn't be too dangerous! LoL!

Hi Greenline I once won a cruise holiday to New Caledonia. It was fantastic! I was seasick for the first few days, but apart from that, it was quite a holiday. New Caledonia was absolutely breathtaking. I think cruise holidays are for people who don't mind being on board for a long amount of time - there is plenty to do on board though. There are spas, exercise classes, and the food is brilliant! At nights, they have movies, concerts, theatre, clubbing, singles' night (where you get to meet other singles!), sports friendlies like table tennis and other games of which the names for the life of me, I don't really know. The rooms are decent sized. Somehow, after experiencig the cruise holiday, I think it is much better to have normal travel. I didn't quite like being not able to walk on land... It was nice when we stopped at our destinations and had time to wonder, but then we were given limited time to be on land, and then we had to be on board again to sail to our next destination. And while I was on that particular cruise, we experienced bad sea conditions and we were stuck for extra days on board in rough seas - and man, that was rough! So yeah, in summary, it is good to have a luxury cruise once in your lifetime. You should at least try it. But I think cruises like some other particular things in life, you have got to acquire a taste for it. You either love it or hate it! Hope you go on that cruise soon, and let me know what you think...

I have only been on one cruise which was in fact 2 years ago, but it was such a fantastic experience that i literally remember all the events that took place like it was yesterday. I saw an advert and a week later i was on the cruise lol. The cruise liner was named 'Costa Concordia' and this is indeed a massive ship 14 actual stories not including the above deck or the very bottom. It was a Meditterranean cruise going from Malta - Palermo - Civitavecchia - barcelona - Tunis. Boy was it great! The ship itself was fantastic, more than a 5 star i would rate it! I am going to take another cruise this summer, i can't wait. I haven't booked yet but i want to go on the Costa Pacifica. Yay! I'm really exited :).

I haven't ever been on a cruise liner. I did got on a training ship down the River Thames in the winter. The sea was really rough and it was a relief when it docked. I am an independent traveler and I don't think a cruise ship would allow me enough time in each place. If I did go on a cruise liner I would like to stop off at Colombia, Cartagena de Indias, San Andres Island, Providence Island, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Corn Island, Honduras and The Bay Islands. Then I would be able to see lots of tropical scenery. I have always wanted to go to Colombia and its islands.

Nope I never have. We took a dinner cruise once but that is as close as we have ever come. I would like to do it though. I think it would be fun to explore different places all on one trip and to be able to look out at the oceon from the ocean. I would love to see a whale I think that would be so amazingly cool. I do plan on going on a cruise someday. My husband wants to go on one for our 20th anniversary, but he wants to go to Europe, but I don't think I can leave my kids that long. I do want to do that someday but I want to wait until the kids are all older first, unless they come with us.

I've gone on a far east cruise a couple of years ago. We booked a suite in the ship and it was a one-week cruise visiting south Korea and japan then back to shanghai. I saw the most beautiful sunset I have EVER seen in the sea in between south Korea and Japan, closer to Japan. I took several pictures of it but naturally, only the first one was the most beautifully captured, because you can only capture beautiful moments when they feel beautiful in your heart, not when you try to make them as perfect as possible. It was an enriching experience, I felt like royalty, and I would love to go on a cruise again someday. Perhaps to the Caribbean or a cruise around Europe would be nice.

I dream of taking one. I have been wanting to for a few years now. I have had a few friends take them and they say they are great. They have a layaway plan here through a travel agency in which you can pay payments for a cruise up to a year before taking it. That might be an option. I was going to check into it but I haven't got a chance yet.

I took a cruise to The Bahamas in 1990 and I really enjoyed it! I had always wanted to take a cruise and I finally got to then. I don't remember the name of the cruise line but I have some pictures that I made. The name should show up on one or several. We left out of Cape Canaveral, Florida, though, and had the best time! I was with a tour group. Kathy.

Like you, a cruise vacation is a kind of vacation that I've dreamt of taking, but it is a kind that I haven't had the opportunity to do yet. My husband and I have discussed this many times and we've decided that we will take a cruise vacation in a few years when our children are old enough to either enjoy such a trip or that we would feel comfortable to leave them at home with some of our relatives while we are away for more than just a night.

This was a part of the US package tour. We were taken to the Bahamas by the Royal Caribbeans and the Liner was Sovereign of the Seas a 14 decked ship each with a different theme for each deck. It was an overnight trip from Port Canaveral. Florida and we were docked at the Nassau Island. We were treated royally!. Each of us had an orderly to take care of us while on Board. I remember his name was Vincent!! We spent three glorious days on board and these 3 days were packed with activity which included fantastic food, gambling, swimming in the swimming pool, just watching the sea, shopping on the Island, culminating with a formal dinner with the Captain. From Nassau we were taken to the Coccocay Island which measured a mere 28x7 miles where the sand was absolutely white. There were guys that went snorkeling and we had fun just watching them as none of us dared to! This sure was a luxury cruise and I enjoyed every bit of it!!

If I would have answered this question a few years ago, I would have told you that taking a cruise held absolutely no interest for me. Why would I want to be trapped on a boat when everything on there I could just as easily do on land. Then I watched a special where the host had my same attitude. But, what they discovered is that the cruise is just your transportation to some really cool and interesting places. It's just transportation with entertainment and fun and food available all the time. This made me look at cruising in a different way and now I am thinking that maybe in the next couple of years, this might be a really fun thing to do.
