How thick is the snow in your place?

It has been really cold lately. As we all know winter is already in the corner. I started snowing the other night. Actually it was 2nd ever snow in my life. I meant the real one which the one you can seriously make a snowman. So yea the next morning I woke up, I was surprised to see how white and thick the snow is. Everything and everywhere is covered in snow. A fascinating site, however it is not something I like to see everyday, especially the snow gets dirty and all muddy. I don't like scooping either. But for now, I'm still enjoy my 4th day of snow.

No snow yet here in the Pacific northwest. It has been bitter cold, yet very sunny. I guess I couldn't complain, as I know that other parts in the east are having snow storms.

Not sure exactly how high the snow is up here, but it's just high enough that I have to wear my high-ankle-support hiking boots to get from my front door to the bus stop (about 30 feet) and climb over the little banks the side-walk plows create when they move the snow off of the sidewalks.

It's been pretty cold here where I live as well. But not cold enough for snow. All it's done here is just rain. It stormed here last night in Mississippi. Sometimes I wish it would snow like that here lol. Up until last year, it hadn't snowed in 10+ years. Now it's snowed two Marches in a row. Unfortunately, the snow melted within a day.

We had 9 inches at the end of last week, but now it is all melting, there is probabaly still about 2 inches on the ground right now. I think they are expecting another snow storm in the next few days, so we will have more very shortly. I really hate winter. We actually had a pretty nice weekend though, there was no new snow and it was in the 30's which was nice.

Although it has been really cold here the past week or so we have been lucky enough not to get too much snow between last night and today it is the most snow we have gotten all winter and normally we have twice as much by this month. I would say that we maybe have an inch or an inch and a half of snow of the ground and if it wasn't for the high winds it probably wouldn't be the bad outside. We have been lucky so far this year and the weather has been warm but they are calling for it to get down into the low teens tonight and continue to snow the rest of the week and weekend so I think it is more than likely going to continue through to may like it normally does....stay warm

Haha. I wish sometimes that we could see snow but unfortunately it doesn't snow in Miami. Some people here has never even seen snow. My husband saw snow for the first time when we went to NY in November last year and we were like a bunch of kids....playing in the snow. But then we got tired of that because it got extremely too cold for us. So when it was time to go to the airport to head back to Miami, we were running....lol

Where I live, thick isn't even considered a question, its how thick is the snow if it ever snows. Yup, unfortunately, here in my country, we hardly recieve any snow. In fact, the last time we recieves snow was 10 years ago in 1999 and it was about 4 cm thick and it only snowed for a few minutes, which is why I miss the snow so much, and I take snow as something precious in my country, even though it might actually kill people in countries such as alaska and stuff. I wish it could snow here someday, that would be a nice christmas present for me.

No! It never really snows at all over here but enough to make a decent but not huge snowman but to be honest I can't really stick the snow as it's really cold but I love seeing the end result so I'm not really the one for snowmen.

When I was a child, I have always wanted to touch what a snow would feel and perhaps play in the snow. Well, I have never experience any snow in our country considering that we do not have any. We only have dry season and rainy season here.

Hi friend, Here in India(Tamilnadu state), we don't get more snow here (except in hilly areas).. we have only mist, that too light mist when comparing with your "SNOW"... Even now I am getting up by 5:00AM from my bed, and doing my regular activities without any disturbance... this mist doesn't resist me much..

The snow in my area is both really thick and deep. I shoveled for a couple of hours today and the snow piles were so heavy. It's been snowing pretty constantly for like the past two days. We've had two snow days in a row and we could possibly have one tomorrow. Winter is officially here.

absolutely ZERO snow here in Tampa, Fl. I just walked outside on the porch in shorts and a t-shirt in the middle of december. If I had been doing an activity outside, I would probably sweat.. Yeah, no snow....ever =[

Snow is very pretty but to much is just plain nasty. I agree that having not to much would be a good thing. We have had 2 separate days that it has snowed not much just cover the ground and away it went sun came out later in the day. We have had more flooding then snow right now. Why is is your first snows? where are you from? Just wondering since you have not seen Snow before. Enjoy for it will be gone soon.

May I ask where are you from and where are you staying now? I am from Michigan, so I know all about the snow. There are so many things to do in the winter time, from making snowman to having snowball fights and much more. Shoveling the driveway and scraping the ice off the windshield are some of the downsides to winter, but I feel the fun things outweigh these minor negatives. There is one big problem, however, and that has to do with driving. Sometimes there is ice hidden under the snow or it is just not visible and this can cause a persons car to go into a tailspin. So, be careful for that.
