Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Alpha 1 is released

Some hours ago first alpha version of Ubuntu 10.04 is released. There will be two more alpha and two beta releases to go before the final release of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. It will be in 2009 april last. Ubuntu 10.04 LTS is came with new Linux kernel 2.6.32 and several features.

It seems a little premature to be taking an interest in the next release because 9.10 has only just become available as a final release.
Karmic Koala is quite a decent improvement on previous versions, so I am quite content with this for the time being.

What's the big deal?! I use Ubuntu 8.04 and I've tried later verions on live CDs - I still don't see the difference. Ubuntu 8.04 is stable enough and I don't need more... The swiss-knife for any advanced Linux user is the shell, so other stuff is just additon for noobs...

It is a linux distribution. There are lot of technical dissimilarities between ubutu and windows. But the major fact about ubuntu is free and open source. Compared to windows more secure because most of the threats are aimed to windows based systems also it easy to use. Oh, I see. That really great because they are share this software free. Because you don't have any problem about piracy where windows is prohibit using copied of it. To be free from suit is to buy genuine windows but there is problem because it only lasted one year after registration or activation...

Yes i read something about the new linux ubuntu os...it seemed to me nice and a greta update for this distribution so we will see when there will be a fixed release!!

That's good news, I'm on Hardy Heron at the moment, I think that was the last LTS and I haven't been tempted so far by any of the later releases.
I'll be scouring the review sites when it arrives.

Hardy Heron is the code name for Ubuntu 8.04. After that there were 3 stable versions released.
Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex
Ubuntu 9.04 -Jaunty Jackalope
Ubuntu 9.10 -Karmic Koala
