Who here has read this book? Did you enjoy it? I'm currently reading this book on audio and I have to say, it seems really good so far. I'm not sure if it would be as good as a paperback since the voices really add to it. But I am really enjoying this story. Especially the man when he is old and crabby! Too funny. I finally got a new mp3 player so I can read books again. This makes me happy. Now I suppose I need to get more books.

Yes, I read this book. It was suggested through an online book club that I belong to. This book was a bit different than the stories I usually read, but I really enjoyed it and even referred it to a friend. Hop you enjoy finishing your story.

Thanks! I just finished it and really enjoyed it. Now I'm trying to figure out what to read next. But I might just wait until Christmas and hope some people got me audio books. I've been reading Skellig on paperback since the summer too. That book is interesting but kind of odd. And hard to get into, but possibly just because it's paperback.

I haven't read it yet, BUT I am definitely planning on it! I've been meaning to .. for a while now, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. LOL. What is the book about, exactly? Good to know that it's worth reading. I'll have to check it out. I probably won't get it on audio though. For some reason, audio books..Never really caught my interest, although I can understand how the dramatic/unique voices can add to the interest of the story. Maybe I'll go put it on hold at the library..Who knows!

I just finished it and I have to say it was even better than first expected! It's about a veterinarian who joins the circus, and all of his crazy experiences. It takes place during the Great Depression. And there is also a bit of a love story in it too. And it jumps back and forth between him as an old man thinking back, and him as a young man living those times. Which is why I liked the audio, as it's easy to understand which one he is at the moment when there are two distinct voices. But I'm also not a skilled reader, so I tend to always read on audio.
