Have you ever sold something on ebay yet the person never paid?

This happened to me a couple of times once they finally ended up paying after several emails. The other time I had to get my fees back and re-list the item because the person never responded. Has this ever happened to you?

I have only sold two things on ebay. So, I have never had this happen to me. It would really make me mad if that did happen because I don't have a lot of money to cover those types of fees. The entire reason for selling anything on ebay is to make money. If the person never pays, then what was the point? Some people can be so cruel.

I have not sold anything as yet but I can tell you of the same type of story but in reverse. I was bidding on multiple auctions from the same seller. All of them finshed around the same time. I sent off an email asking for confirmation of the total price due to the savings on postage. I had heard nothing for at least a day. So I sent them another email requesting the final amount. Still nothing. I then had a non paying bidder mark against me. I ended up getting their contact deatils and ringing them. Finally they gave me an email confirming the final payment. I paid as soon as I received it. They sent the items which I did receive the items. I asked them via email to remove the non paying bidder from my ebay name since I have paid and received the items. Nothing again. So I called them. And they did. I will never deal with the seller again. I can understand the frustration when there is no communication between seller and bidder regardless of the situation it is. It is important that if people are going to commit to an auction regardless if they are a bidder or seller, they must provide a good service. If they are not committed to the auction, then they should not sell or buy. As for me, I do not commit to an auction unless I do have enough money. I also like to pay for items within half an hour to 24 hours of the end of the auction. That is my way of thinking. I prefer a quick transaction. I don't like it when sellers do not communicate with me. Just like yourself, you don't like when buyers do not commit to the auctions if they have no intention on paying.

this has happened to me a few times and it is so irrating because you list that payment is expected within so many days and then wither you get no response and have to go through the hassle of your final value fee being credited and what not OR they respond with some pity story asking you to wait until a specific day for the money to enter paypal or until there paycheck etc etc or they just dont pay at all with no communciation.. it bothers me most times because i like to be organized and prepared and im all ready to ship and then nothing..

Yes! I was selling some brand-name dress pants on Ebay that I no longer wore, and someone bidded and won - and never ended up paying me. I finally issued a claim (or whatever it's called) with Ebay after about 3 weeks of waiting on this person. This is why it's a great idea NOT to send things out until after they've paid (duh!) - which thankfully I did. It's annoying when people bid on something, win the bid, and then totally ignore you for weeks upon weeks! Ugh!

if you read the terms of service it states that you dont send out the item till you get the payment. this has happened to me plenty of times. simply said give the user negative feedback if the payment isnt recieved within your quota
