Women and men as equals?

Hopefully everyone knows that over the past 20-30 years women have been screaming for equality. Well men and women are somewhat getting close to being equal. Women don't stand discrimination because of gender and pretty much don't allow it. But WHY do those women still make comments like "Don't hit me! I'm a girl"? You want equality but yet you find ways to use the fact that you're a woman as an excuse for various things. What's your opinion on this? Will men and women ever really be equal?

As far as the way they're treated, NO. Women won't allow it. They want the best of both sides. "Treat us like we can do the same things you do- even though we'll call you to do them anyways."

Too bad that won't work out to benefit them. I feel that women need to chose what they want and stick with it.

Ah but how many women are good at making a choice?

Now that's a generalization. Not all women to that, you know. :(

Human beings are human beings -- why distinguish between men and women. Due to body nature they may be different but both deserve equality and dignity. There can be no dignity without equality. It is the misplaced social, cultural and religious beliefs that have contributed to prejudice as far as women are concerned. Yes, they can be equal, if one removes irrational thinking from the society.

Well no one deserves to be hit, no matter what the circumstance is, i mean unless its for self-protection. I can't speak for every woman, but I am very tiny and petite and so yes I do tell people to not playfully hit me, or anything like that. I think that it is because women are generally smaller than men, I don't think of it as an equality issue as more of a "don't pick on someone smaller than you" issue.
