When you accept or add friend on your list do you usually click "notify on" or you only choose certain people? In my case not all in my friends list notification is on because i don't want my mail loaded with unimportant mails. I usually click "notify on" to those people who are already my friends and to those whom i actively participating in their discussions. How about you?

Before, after confirming friend requests, I have to go to my list of friends and turn the notification 'on' so that I would get notified if they would start discussion that might interest me. If ever they post something that I don't find any interest in, I'd just delete the notification that gets sent to my email. Then again, there are times when the notification doesn't really work right and I don't receive any even though some posts have happened, either new discussions or new posts on responses and/or discussions I have posted. However, I noticed that when you confirm friend requests here, the notification is automatically 'on' so, I don't have to do the same thing that I did before upon confirming friend requests. (^_^")

I have everyone in my friends list to notify on...this is so I can have a look at all the discussions my friends are starting & I don't miss out on responding to a discussion that really interests me. I do agree that my mail gets over loaded but I keep the mylot emails aside & look at them when I get the chance - hence the reason why I'm responding to 4 month old discussions today lol.

hello simomelee! haha we are just the same! i don't usually put my notifications on coz i don't ant my mail to be flooded with new mails from discussions started by people on my friend's lists... i have some friends who starts about 10-20 or so discussions in a day and oh no, i can't accommodate them all! huh! that will be very difficult for me to handle and i also have a tendency to feel lazy to read whenever i saw too many messages on my inbox! what i just do is, like you i just open that notification to selected friends...(well no offense to others) hehe to those friends that i feel have been close to me in my entire stay here... but i still follow some of the discussions of my other friends through the friend's started bar...hehe good day!

I always turn my notification on to get know if some of my friends make a discussion, I have hundred email received every minutes but it didn't bothered me, if I get chance to read all then I'll pick one and response to those discussions.

Hi simonelee, yes mine are on but I turned them off on a couple of people when they started churning out ten discussions at once. But then their discussions took over all of the friends started box on my home page so I had to delete them. I like to respond to my friends discussions if they interest me but not if they absolutely swamp the alerts.

Not one of my friends is on in my list. it gets way too out of hand for me. I was here under another account. Which made me one of the older members. It gets so bogging to have notify on. Plus many of them I was not trying to respond to . Than you have to sit and delete mail after mail. it's too crazy so none of them are on notify.

I set all my friends notification on so I'll get to see their discussions when I check my emails.

It is all "notify on" each time I accept a friend. Now I have whole bunch of email notifications and I cannot finish responding to all of them, but each time I read one, I delete it to avoid repeating responding to the same one. In fact, I have responded to the same discussion for many times and I feel very embarrassed for it.

I always put my notifications on whenever I approve new friends. I do receive a lot of emails but I have noticed that not all my friends’ discussions come through; someone once told me that happens if they have their notifications off. I don’t know if that’s true but I do know I don’t receive everybody’s topics as they come through. I answer the ones I do get and then go to the ‘Friends started’ tab.
