My country is Malaysia and we have many races such as Malay, Chinese, Indian etc. So we have a lot of traditional dishes. I'm a Malay and Malay people have a lot of traditional dishes such as 'roti jala (lacy pancakes)', 'ketupat', 'nasi dagang' and 'rendang'. But in Terengganu (a state situated in North Eastern Peninsular Malaysia), 'Keropok Keping' is popular and most visible fried snack. The keropok is made from fish and mixed with sago. Keropok is best eaten hot with its special chili dip. Oh delicious! My country also has a lot of Indian traditional dishes. In Malaysia, 'biryani' is called as 'nasi beriani', and 'makke' as 'roti canai'. Plus, in Malaysia, there is an abundant of Indian restaurant and food stalls. Sometimes we called the restaurant as "kedai mamak" (mamak shop) :)

Hi neo_matrix, India is a vast country and each state has its own traditions not only on food but on other aspects too. I am from South India. Idly, dosa, sambar etc are famous as South Indian food. You are also from India so you know it better.

Hi neo matrix, that would probably be mousakkas. It's made of layers of fried aubergines and minced meat sauce, topped with a thick cheese sauce with cinnamon in. The sauce is baked on top. I'd rather have your traditional dishes though, I love Indian food.

The Philippines doesn't really have a national dish but most people say it's supposed to be Adobo. It's pork and chicken stewed in vinegar, soy sauce, lots of garlic, pepper and bay leaf. YUM!!!
