Would you rather know immediately, how much you're earning on PTP sites?

..Or do you like the mystery/excitement that MyLot gives us by making us wait until the next day to learn how much we made for the day before? I'm on a different PTP forum right now, and it's actually kind of nice seeing how much you're making after each and every post that you make. It's more automated, I think. I still like MyLot better, but it's weird dealing with both of these very different systems. I don't really care either way. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, if you ask me. Do you prefer to know how much you're making after each post? Or do you like having to wait a day to find out what you made the previous day? And why?

Yes, if we could have got that kind of system in mylot about instantly showing our earnings after each post and comments, that would have been more helpful. So, we would always make our earnings more and more and would reach our decided target in one day more easily otherwise we have to wait the next day to know how much we have really earned through our participation. Actually, earlier I was in a ptp site like this which showed us our instant updated earnings which was destroydebt but due to spamming, the site was closed unfortunately!!

I suppose that's the downside of having the earnings up immediately, that people can spam so much as they want to reach the payout target quicker.

Ya, by viewing the earnings instantly after each and every post makes people think about increasing the earnings at a faster rate and people tend to do it by posting very small amount of responses which leads to ultimately spamming!!

With My Lot I like the surprise I get the next day with the earnings. With another site that I go on I have the satisfaction of knowing how much I earn for each piece of writing. I can choose how much writing to do for My Lot. For the story writing site I have to write a minimum of 450 words. It is not until the story is approved that my earnings go up. I think My Lot keeps the earnings quite a mystery. My Lot likes good description and quality posts. I wonder how My Lot works out how much it will pay. The story site depends on the number of stories and how many stories the member has written for them. I think My Lot pays every member the same thinking about each person's effort. The earnings I make on My Lot are a nice little bonus.

It's good in a way that they all do it a different way, It's not really a problem to me if it does not come up instantly as long as it is up the next day or so and I am sure most people on here would agree with that.

With it only being a penny here & a penny there I don't think I'd even be concerned. I'm here because I enjoy the discussions. Heck I still occasionally post on Yahoo Answers & they don't even award or pay you anything. Woohoo... double pay day, a whole 2 cents.

i honestly wish it would tally up as i go. it's a nice incentive when you can actually see what you're making in real time.

I like to see things instantly but waiting is ok too since you might get a weekly update and it would be higher than the daily update.

It would be nice to see how much you are earning each time but it really does not matter to me if we don't see as long as it's a decent site like Mylot with a chance of continued earning if we put the time in.

What I would like to know is that a PTP site will definitely pay, and that they will pay promptly. So many sites have not paid and I get sick of it. I do believe Mylot has consistently paid. djbtol

I prefer to have an automated and instant calculations of my earnings. This way, the earnings are real time and I can use this as a gauge to see which of my posts deserves a higher payment or which just sucked and gained zero or less payment.

I personally do not want to know immediately. A running tally would just remind that instead of goofing off and relaxing (which is why I hang out here) that I could be making more money by doing my regular writing. There is also the little fact that it would annoy me to see the drop in earnings everytime I replied to a discussion that got deleted. Better that I do not know; I might get grumpy and leave if the earnings where updated in real time.

That's a good question. I do like knowing immediately how much I earned, but the problem with that is that lots of people could abuse the system. They could make lots of money without really making good contributions to the discussion. All they have to do is type long answers and the system would automatically give them money based on how long the post is (how else could it automatically give earnings to a post?) I know that there are administrators who clean up after the mess, but it would be a lot less hassle for the admin staff to just give money after checking the quality of the posts.

In my case I prefer to know immediately. I'm a very impatient person regarding some matters, and in Mylot I won't know how much I earned until 2 days later (probably because of the time difference). It's just a matter of taste, anyway.

yeah it does kind of suck that I don't see how much I am making. but at the same time like you said there is an excitement of seeing that I made pretty good from last night. just wondering also you said you are in another type of other payed sites and I see the sites that you have gain money from which I plan to try, but how do you find the time to do them. this is the only paid site I work on. just now getting involved. you have a lot of good resources.

I would like to know more quickly. I don't like not knowing! Although as someone else said, I do believe I would get upset if I saw my earnings disappear due to a deleted post.

For me, I'd prefer knowing how much I've earned instantly. It makes me track of anything I've done recently. And also, it kinda sucks to wait for 24 hours to know how far have you gone.

makes no difference either or to me, if we were getting a dollar a post then thats a different matter but a few cents here and there doesn't really get me sitting up and thinking how much have I earned today lol.

well, i would prefer to know how much i earn imediatly, but that suppose an fixed amount for each post, so i think it's better this way...you can't see imediatly how much you earned, but sometimes you can win more than you expect.....cause it's not a specific price for a post. so...i don't know...
