If you could go to any country in the world on a two year work visa. You would get a high salary and accommodation provided. Your family could go with you and your children would get free schooling. Which country would you choose to work and live in for the two years? Which job would you do for that time?

I had to think about this. In my much younger days I did consider going overseas to work, either in a paid position or voluntasry. I think I would chose England. I visited England a long time ago and loved it, especially the history. The English peopole are a lot like us. This is not to say I dont appreciate very diffrent cultures, but I am too old for a complete change. Plus England has a reciprocal health agreement with Australia. My other choices would be Canada or New Zealand. If I was still considering voluntering work, I would possibly choose Thailand, where they are getting volunteers to build orphanages.

Although my working days are now behind me, I must say I loved working in Thailand for the past twelve years.

That is a very difficult question, because I am interested in so many different countries, and I think it could be interesting to stay in many different countries around the world. I have always wanted travel around in Asia, so if I got the chance to work in another country for two years I would probably choose one of the countries in Asia. But which country? Maybe India, China or Japan. I know that there is camphill village in India, and I have often thought about spending some time there, because I like working with people with special needs. I am also interested in working with children and elderly people, so it is hard to make up my mind. The only thing that I am sure about is that I would like a job where I work with people.

I actually want to just work here in the Philippines because I don't wanna be away from my boyfriend. But, if there will be a chance in which the two of us can go abroad, I would really like to work in USA. The salary for nurses there is quite good and so if we will have to work there within 2 years, it is really possible for us to save a big amount of money especially when we come back here in our country. Aside from that, I also have a lot of cousins in different states of America so there will be a great chance for us to be accommodated and be free of apartment charge. It will also be easier for us to adjust to the new environment if there is someone close to us will help us there. I am just hoping that this will happen some day.

Hi Maximax8, I love My country very much. But this is only for 2 years work visa, right? I choose USA, State : New Hampshire. But it doesn't mean that other countries are not good. I choose USA because for 2 years Visa, I don't want to waste my time to adapt to the environment. I've lived in USA especially in New Hampshire, so the environment was familiar to me. I can Work with full of concentration there. I want to work as an accountant.

I have always wanted to vist the Unites States of America. Ever since I was a kid I"ve wanted to live there (too much tv perhaps??!) I wouldn't want to live there permanantly as Ilove Australia way too much but I'd go there for a year or two for sure. I don't have children but maybe I would go somewhere else if I did. Maybe somewhere like Japan-a totally different culture would be a great experience. I wouldn't say no to Hawaii either!

I believe I would love to go to Africa to help the poor children in giving them care and schooling. I'm not a teacher but I know I could teach these kids since I'm home teaching my granddaughter. That would be a great thrill to be able to help others in a country with so much proverty.

Australia, I live in Australia and nothing beats it :). It's great and peaceful and you can make what you want of this great country. People are friendly (except in Canberra :D) and it is a fairly rich country.

I would want to go to New Zealand. I have always been attracted to the landscape and the culture. I think it would be beautiful to explore and all the people that I have met from NZ have been really down to earth and seemed to have many of the same values I have. I would want to have a job on a beach. Perhaps a lifeguard or something similar...
