We celebrated Christmass early at my house as my daughter and her family will be out of town on the 25th. The problem was that my granddaughter,Emma, had strep throat and could not make it. So we will be taking her gifts to my daughters next weekend when they come back from their trip to celebrate with her. It will still be on the Holiday weekend so no biggie for her missing out late due to her illness. Have you ever had a child missing during the Holidays and had to celebrate it later than planned? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Heck if we know. Andy asked a few days ago but as usual he gets no response from Mindi. She does not keep us informed of anything....and I thought comunication was bad with me and Allen.

Well you know that I would not get along at all with Mindi. Thankfully I don't have to see nor deal with her in any aspect. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM DADDY!!~

I hope your granddaughter feels better soon. Yeah it's no fun to miss out because of being ill. My kids are usually ok during the holidays though this year we all have colds. So that may be of concern w/ our IL's getting over their cancer treatments.

Unfortunatly virus' are sneaky and you can pick them up from anywhere. But another reason why I looked for this post is hubby came home early (not related to the illness though) & he listened to a co-worker & is probably going to the Dr tomorrow w/ Strep as well! Thankfully we've all had a cold for several days so there's been no kiss'n by anyone really. And I wanted to post as I think you've jinxed us So no going to the in-laws for the holidays they don't need it & that's um a good thing right?

almost, by the way I hope you little granddaughter feels better soon. Once my son really wanted to spend christmas with his best friend and even sleep over. So I let him, and was as miserable as old you know what because I was alone but he wanted to go and I let him. Guess what the friend's father had to bring him home because he was lonesome for his mother on christmas lol

I recall a few years as a runaway I missed my family so much I had tried to do away with myself from depression. But things turned out decent as I went to a church for the Holiday and was welcomed and all. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Absolutely, my son (who is no longer in the Navy) was not able to make a Christmas. I kept the tree (artificial) up until June so that we could celebrate Christmas when he came home. It went down the next day.
