What do you consider Christmas as? Religious event? A holiday of love and relax?

And what do you usually do on Xmas? I ask this question because I'm not Christian but I like Christmas and I always write cards (online or via SMS) to my friends wishing them a merry christmas I also like to watch plays in Christmas theme, such as White Christmas or A Christmas Carol!

I think for most people it's a combination. A lot of people go to Church or Synagogue (or what have you) but we also enjoy opening presents with our families, eating (my favorite part if I'm honest), and in my house anyway watching some sporting event. I think it's a good thing if you can find the balance. A lot of people go over commercial (which isn't good) but a lot of people go overly religious which (in my opinion) leads nobody to God. Instead, it leads people to think you're a jerk who is trying to force their values on someone who may not want it.

I am not a christian either but my family is. I see it as a day to express love and hang out with the family.I guess in other families there is more of a religious feel to it but not in my family.

I feel it as an occasion which brings a lot of happiness and newness in life which brings with itself loads of relaxation after the whole hard working the whole year.

for me it's about being with the people you love, and just celebrating having each other.
