Here is the scenario: You are stranded on an island with all the food and water you need to survive but you can only have 5 movies (technically)to watch over and over again. the stipulations: You are allowed one saga to count as one movie , i.e. lord of the rings, harry potter, stuff like that and you are allowed one t.v. series, complete seasons also counts as one movie so please tell me your list of movies, i am always interested to hear what people would say.

Oh, The Notebook is a romantic film and very touching. If you happen to like "If Only", "Titanic" and the like, you will definitely love "The Notebook"

I always thought that the characters in Gossip Girl talked a little faster than normal people do. It was like i was watch Dona Barbara on telemundo, women talking really really fast. wait a minute, I'm sorry, I was thinking of Gilmore Girls. Nevermind. Godfather is an Awesome choice i must say! People keep saying the Notebook, I haven't seen it. Is it really that good?

1. The James Bond movies (does this count as a saga? lol) - Not that I am into James Bond that much, but there are over 20 movies, so at least it would offer a bit more variety. I have enjoyed the ones Ive seen so far, anyway. If this doesnt count as a saga, then Star Wars. 2. Simpsons - the current shows aren't as funny as it was when it first came out, but there are still some bright spots here. 3. Dirty Dancing - I already watch this one way too much, and while the movie may end up boring me before it's all said and done, the music wouldn't. 4. Gone With the Wind 5. Independence Day

Not a Dirty Dancing fan?? lol I can handle B+ :P I still remember watching the premiere of The Simpsons - never would have imagined it would be around 2 decades later! lol And yep, Star Wars is definitely better - at least the first three. Havent seen all of the new ones yet.

Actually yes, James Bond would count as a saga, but star wars is so much cooler!! The simpsons rock so hard it's ridiculous! I used to have the singing, dancing, talking, life-sized homer that they sold at spencer gifts, however, my wifey made me get rid of it a year ago. I was totally pissed at her for a week. Anyway, these are some pretty good choices here, i would have to give you a B+, for better than average. Good job!!

That's it? Just one movie? The sixth sense is a good movie, but i don't think I could watch only that movie till the end of time. Sorry Mr. shamalyahyan, but signs was a little bit better than sixth sense.

Yeah I understand that I guess but have you seen Tyler Perrys House of Pain? Sometimes yes they are kind of crazy stupid, but alot of times they are really funny.... I wouldnt say I am a fan but I do like Hosue of Pain and I really thought madea goes to jail was funny....did you see it??

I never understood why people think Tyler Perry is funny, I mean the dress up in drag thing is kinda outdated and overdone. Sorry, i don't mean to offend any fans of his, but he reminds me of Ernest P. Worrel, you know what i mean Vern? Hangover was F-ing High-larious.

Star Wars and Bones. Star wars as the series movies and Bones as a tv series. Now how are we watching this tv on a deserted island? We have a battery and a bike to power it or a wind mill? That would account for just two things to watch per day. Interesting discussion, take care.

I got the Lion King, Face Off, Man in the Iron Mask [Leonardo DiCaprio], Back to the future 1,2,&3 and MacGyver Series. It really attracts my attention if the movie has an element of cunningness and most of them have it. But outside technicality, I would have named like 20 of them.

1.21 Jigawatts!! Back to the future was awesome!!!! MacGuyver is the man!! Who else could make a t.v. out of some wax paper, rubber bands, a coat hanger, and some silly puddy? B++ good job!!

Aladdin, good choice! I think that is one of Robin Williams best movies, even though it's a disney flick. I had heard he was trashed at some party and distroyed a pricless piece of art so he is indebted to disney for God knows howlong. Don't know if it's true or not, if anyone can add some insight that would be great.

For some reason that would not surprise me. Aladdin is my alltime favorite. Saw it 11 times in the theater. Could I be any cooler???? ;-)

THe movie I would definitely watch over and over again are the following: 1) It Could happen To You 2) Patch Adams The first movie starred Nicolas Cage and Bridget Fonda, this is a simple yet a very nice movie about being nice to other people even if nothing is going right in your life...that even on your darkest hour, you still give to the people in need...It is a truly inspiring movie...you'll be moved by the kindered spirits of the roles of Nicolas Cage and Bridget Fonda. The Second movie is Patch Adams which starred Robin Williams, this is a great movie about a doctor who believe that laughter is the best medicine...I am very moved by this movie...because very few doctors now think that patients do get better when being positive and happy.

Never watched either of those movies, but it sounds like they are worth a look. If you are into touching movies i highly recommend the Family man with Nicholas Cage.

I am a huge film fan and have see countless movies, good and bad. If I had the money I would even go to film school and study cinematography, whether I ever did anything with it or not. It's just a very hard industry to be successful in. As for my most watched list, it changes from time to time but some of movies I never get tire of include in no particular order. 1. Up in Smoke 2. The Big Leobowski 3. Jackie Brown 4. Moving Violations 5. Star Wars 6. Harry Potter 7. Crazy People I'll stop there, even though I could go on. A couple of those are somewhat obscure movies, Crazy People stars Dudley Moore and Daryl Hannah. Moving Violations is an absolutely hilarious movie made in the mid to late 80's about a group of people who are forced to go to traffic school.

When you are stranded on an island, better take care to have a collection of light hearted comedies, not emotionally draining ones like Titanic. I would go for my own collection of Indian Movies like Arunachalam, Muthu, Golmaal, Munnabhai series, etc., But, here, we seem to be talking about English movies., so obviously my choice narrows down. My choice would be Shrek 1,2,3 101 Dalmations Slumdog Millionaire The Absent Minded Professor (I hope you know the movie) and any movie starring my favourite Jim Carrey!!!

You kinda have to choose 1 t.v show, but whatever, it' cool. Friends was pretty funny. I think i could etter relate to Joey except for the whole actor thing. Actually, now that i think about it, I would probablly be a combination of both Joey and Pheobe.
