How was your holidays? Of course foods is one of my favorite when celebrating holidays.. And now, I noticed that I got fat than before. Well, it's easy to get fat but to loose weight it's so hard isn't it?

No, I survived the holidays, I actually lost weight between Christmas Day and New Years Eve. But the weeks afterwards have been so cold that I haven't done much exercise so the good trend hasn't continued. It's milder now, so I suppose I just have to start walkin again!

Good for you... Sometimes exercise is not working for me or i'm just not working very hard but I'm always conscious in my body figure and I will go on a diet to loose weight but it's really hard.

And it is boring. You can't it this, you can't eat that, and then you get lots of "good" advice from your friends about what to eat and what not to eat :-/

I think I did gain a little weight because my pants are a little tighter than they were before. I did pig out sweets that were at work and unfortunately I have a very mean sweet tooth. Around the holidays is when I give in to the cravings. I am right now exercising by riding my recumbent bike while watching tv. My first goal is try to lose 10. I got about 50 in total I want to get rid of because I am very overweight for my height and want to reverse the weight while I can. I don't want to end up with problems like some people in family who have high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, etc.

my sister is always thin, no matter what she has eaten, cakes, pies, ice cream and she does really eat alot, even more than my parents could eat. and sometimes, my parents doubt that if she has some parasite or worms in her intestine that 'share' the nutrients with her.

yes and yes! lolz... exactly, it is so easy to gain some extra pounds and so damn hard to lose it. But my holiday was so wonderful and nice, I think that is more important. so gaining some weight is an okay thing for me but, I need to go on diet and do some exercises to be fit and more healthy.

it would be a big lie if i say that i did not gain weight. but i am not sure how much i gained. we had a bazaar last christmas from december 1 to 30 it was very tiring so i guess i ate more than the usual. so i can say that i gained weight through out the season. to loose weight for me is okay for i ride the bike everyday specially when i ran errands so that is my daily exercise plus running around with my child is the best work out i can get.

Ha. Yes, I think holiday eating affects most of us like that. I try not to over-indulge too much..But of course when my family brings things over like.. cake and pies and pasta salads, I tend to go a little crazy. Because I'm not constantly stepping on the scale anymore (I used to be this way, though) - I don't know exactly how my weight fluctuates. But it usually comes off naturally after the holiday season ends. Gotta love your metabolism!

Actually i remained at my weight or maybe even lost a few houndred of grams. Normally i gain 1-2 kilos during the Christmas, but this time i avoided it, though not with my best will. The reason was an operation in my jaw to remove my last wisdom tooth because there was no space for it and to avoid pain later on. This caused me to be on liquid food for most time during Christmas and i could first eat proberly again here in the beginning of january.
