I have just started sewing again in the past year and I currenlty have to drag my sewing machine out everytime I want to use it. I am trying to get an area set up were I can just have it out I know I would use it so much more. What has worked for you?

I am back to dragging my machine out too. I used to keep it on the desk. Since it's in a cupboard, what I'd like to do is have some sort of fold down table that comes out from the cupboard.

What I want to get is one of those folding desk so all i have to do is open it up and take it out and go. They have a ok one at Fleet farm for about $125 and It folds up to a ok size that won't be to hard of a place to find a spot for it. I hope I can get it soon!

I have a spare bedroom and a family/old garage enclosed. My things are strung out now. I hope to store in one room and sew in the other, but that takes time. Soon maybe.

We have an open walkout basement with a large rec room, After all the kids grew up and left home, I have turned it into my sewing room. I have my ironing board, sewing machine and table in there. I also have fabric packed away in totes. I have my paterns in a little file cabinent. And my room is a total mess because we are working on redoing the basement.

I would love to have an area set up for crafting and sewing, but I have to drag my machine into the kitchen to sew and when I'm done, I haul it back out of the kitchen into a cat free zone to keep it safe!

I am back to dragging out my machine every time I want to use it. I did have a craft room but I gave it up to being a class room when I began to home school. Which is OK since doing the schooling I have very few free moments to necessitate a craft room right now any way.
