Yes I am. First off the bed is lousey. I am trying to save up for a new one. Secondly my left knee likes to hurt when I lay down! I try to elevate the knees but it doesn't help alot! Pain pills don't help either! Some nights I sleep in the chair in my living room so I can avoid my bed! I wish I could sleep in a comfortable bed and didn't have the knee pain! It is frustrating!

I would say you shouldn't even attempt to sleep in your bed as you have said it is lousey. If it is really infested you must throw it out. You should try sleeping on top of quilts on the floor, after you have had them thoroughly deloused of course, as that will be better for your back than a chair. Put a pillow beneath your knee and try ibruprofen rather than pain killers. But definitely the first thing you must do is remove the bed from your apartment as it has lice in it and fumigate the whole apartment. This could become a big problem as you work with food.

Being invest with anything is not the problem! My bed is over 10 years old. I have tried ibruprofen and putting a pillow under my knee! Nothing works! I know it is bad for me to sleep in a cahir! My back hurts like hell the past 3 days!

ok, very simply you need a new bed and mattress. now you can not be THAT poor as you are working, but even people on welfare could manage one of these simple solutions: get the mattress first - it isn't ideal and will need regular turning but it is perfectly comfortable to sleep on a mattress on the floor. continue saving for the bed. most places will allow you to pay in small monthly installments for the lot. no reason to not do this except that overall you will pay slightly more. get a very cheap mattress alternative - you can get cheap inflatable ones intended for camping - fine for a month or two. get a loan so tomorrow decide which of these you will do then DO IT as for your knee - see the doctor.

Where I live there is no store that uses layaway anymore. If they did I would of gotten a bed awhile ago. I am not that poor but I am terrible, still,at saving money and the only way I can get a new bed right now is by credit card. I rahter not use it because it has a huge balance and I just don't want to use it! This is my problems!

bluepacker - you need a bed. get a mattress now on your credit card and save for the bed itself. lack of sleep will lead to all kinds of health problems, and make you miserable. you won't be destitute buying a mattress. you will however have a dreadful time if you don't. cut back on non-essentials for a few months.

I really feel for you blue65packer...I was SO lucky in being able to get a new bed and mattress in 2007---I had come into a little extra money and I saw getting a new bed and mattress as an investment...prior to that I was sleeping on a bedframe that was 47 years old and don't ask how old the mattress was, maybe at least 20 years? Back then I only slept 5 or 6 hours since my bed was so uncomfortable--I couldn't wait to get out of bed...now I sleep eight hours...and my two kitties approve of the bed as they keep me company--Here's hoping you can get a new bed real soon!

Well, good luck on saving for a new bed. Try to buy a mattress or foam that is not too soft but not too hard.

May be you should invest in a new bed? There could be something wrong with your current one if you can't sleep in it. I may doze on the couch from time to time depending how tired I am, but regardless of that I still love my bed. and sleep in it every chance I get especially this winter seeing how it was so cold.

I don't believe it!!! Why is this the case? Is it the way the sleep? Why does your left knee hurt, and only your left knee? Why doesn't your right knee hurt? Your back should hurt from sleeping in a chair. And yet you would rather sleep in a chair than on the bed. Now that is weird. Perhaps you should consult your doctor, or question the way that you sleep and you bed should be fine.

I sleep better in the chair and I don't get backaches for it. The mattress is old and so is the boxspring! Those are the major reason's I can't sleep in my bed! The knee hurting is from other problems! Like trying to take walks, being overweight and working 2 jobs helps with the knee pain! Do you get it now?
