Many people are so addicted to facebook and i am one of them lol. In the future, do you think it will lose it appeal?

Im quite sure it will lose its appeal eventually. When I first found out about MySpace I was quite thrilled and addicted and thought it would be around forever and popular forever and what not. Of course then Facebook got to be really popular at my school and people stopped going on MySpace and what not. However, I do think there was good reason for that because I think Facebook is more user friendly and simply better. But the point is I think that Facebook will one day become like MySpace and wither.. Maybe it will lose its appeal to Twitter eventually.. Who knows though

I guess just like anything else, Facebook will eventually lose some of its appeal. I have a feeling though that it's going to be pretty popular for quite some time though. It's a great way for people to stay in touch and a lot of businesses are even using it now! It really is a great site.

I agree, with the internet so accessible nowadays people like myself log on to see what my friends are up to and keep in touch, this can be done in a matter of minutes. I find it the quickest and most reliable site to contact people, I don't use emails anymore and most of all its free. I also use it as a free photo storage file. Unless something comes along that can really rival facebook, then it may loose its appeal. A new site would need to be bigger and more fun in an instant, so with facebook growing everyday in many different aspects it will be a hard feat to complete.

i have started to shorten my time in facebook. i have realized that it is taking very much of my time. i have also noticed that the classmates of my sons have started to decrease their posts. maybe 1 day, facebook will not be that popular anymore, but people will still continue to check it once in a while

There was a Myspace trend for a few years. I think we're phasing through our Facebook trend right now, and it will eventually phase itself out and the 'trend' will move onto the next thing. I don't think Twitter or Flickr or any of THOSE sites are beating out Facebook, as it seems to be holding it's own. But, as with most technological things, I'm sure a bigger-and-better version of Facebook will come out pretty soon here and be 'all the rage'. That's usually how it seems to happen, right?

yup... i think now many social sites are building their own networks that will beat facebook. but as what you have said no one still is beating it... hahaha

I'm not quite sure, it depends maybe on how many new applications etc that you can add. Because the applications lose their appeal after a while, but the socializing part with facebook is a bit different.
