Anyone watching the NFL playoffs?

When I say football, I'm speaking of American football. And I was wondering how many of you are watching the NFL playoffs this weekend? The first game today starts at 3:30pm Central, and I'll defnitely be watching. The other day my dad challenged me to pick the winners and to see if I got more right than he did. After last weekend, I am one ahead of him in picking the winners. He's telling me today he's going to catch up and beat me. I came over to my parent's house this afternoon so we could watch the first game together (I'll be at my own place for the 2nd game). Anyone else watching the playoffs? I'm hoping the Cardinals and the Colts win today.

Well, I wish you luck in winning the challenge..so is there a bet involved? Or just all in fun? My husband and I don't really watch football, He is the type to rather play it then watch it. again..good luck.

If we ate dessert, we would both be losers. My dad is on a diet, and for the past couple weeks I've been trying to eat healthier, although I'm not on a diet. I've lost four pounds so far.

No, I am not going to watch the playoffs. Honestly, I have no idea who is even playing in them this year. I quit playing attention when the Denver Broncos screwed themselves out of the playoffs. (Oh c'mon Bronco fans, can you honestly claim that they did not do to themselves this year?) Besides, I am going over to a friend's house; it is going to be a Supernatural marathon (my wife has not seen the beginning of the series, and only got interested recently). I think that sounds better than moaning about the fact that the Broncos crash and burned after having such a good start.

Oh, I know! I was so excited when they went 6-0 because I can't stand Jay Cutler. I wanted the Broncos to show him that they didn't need him and wouldn't miss him. Well, the Broncos did better than Cutler, but they still crashed and burned. I love Supernatural! I have the first three seasons on DVD. I really loved the first season. She's going to also, I'm sure. Let me know though, if you remember, how your wife liked it. I am interested in what she thinks of the first season. It seems so long ago. By the way, word is they might make a season 6 for Supernatural. It was suppposed to be a five year series, but the CW is close to persuading them to keep going.

We were till the Packers lost. Beyond that don't really care.... not that I'm a huge GB fan just a fair weather one. Since you've been following do you know if anyone kicked the vikings tushies? Many people really dislike the vikings now since our former QB is playing for them.

The Vikings play the Cowboys tomorrow. My dad and I both bet that the Cowboys win, so if we get our wish, you'll get yours (Favre will lose)!

I don't watch football but I hear it was the Cardinals that won. Not sure about today's game, but I hope it was the cowboy's, lol. I know, I know, I don't watch football but my hubby's fave team is the cowboy's, and well he doesn't watch it either. Hope you win the bet, what's the wager? You have to clean their garage, or they have to clean your kitchen? lol.

I'd never finish if I had to clean their garage! The Cardinals lost yesterday, and the Cowboys lost today. Next week it will be Jets vs. Colts and Saints vs. Vikings. I hope the Colts beat the Jets and the Vikings beat the Saints. But I don't think the Vikings will beat the Jets.

Football is only good for one thing. When it's on, my hubby is so wrapped around the tv that he doesn't bug me to share the computer, so I get to play all day. Wooohoo! I was reading online today that the average 3 hour televised game has about 11 minutes of actual play time. The rest of the show is commercials, replays, reviews, huddles and watching the players stand around adjusting their (ahem) equipment. No wonder my husband has so much time to run back and forth from the kitchen. Now, if it was baseball, different story. When my Red Sox are beating those Yankees, someone could get hurt standing in front of the tv...lol.

I sure am and watch the SAINTS go,go, go, I too watched the Colts, and I want the Saints and Colts to go to superbowl, why because I think they both deserve it, they played an awesome season and it will be one good game. We have waited for the Saints for 40 years, and I am hoping that they get through this next game, we are not asking that they win, just for once in their lives to make it to Superbowl, they finally got a quarterback and a team, and they have had a great season either way. But could you just once be there for the greatest game on Superbowl Sunday.

Yes, Avatar is doing extremely well! Last night it won big at The Golden Globe Awards, given by the foreign press. James Cameron won for director of Avatar, and Avatar won as best Dramatic Film.

Kind of. More listening than anything else. Missed the New Orleans game but caught the Minnesota versus Dallas game. Hopping Brett Farve pulls it off.

I am very much watching the playoffs, right now even. Vikings just scored :D As for winners, I was perfect last week and 1 for 2 this week, I got the Vikings and the Jets (I had to go for the underdogs in that) for the rest of the week. Quite happy the playoffs are here, but also a bit sad, it means football season is nearly here and the 18 month baseball season is about to begin.

I like baseball, but in no way can baseball make up for the end of football. I'll just have to relish the next few weeks. I'm hoping the Vikings beat the Saints and the Colts beat the Jets.
