What can you say about those discussions that are only one to two sentences only? Like just simply asking questions about some issues without sharing his or her views regarding it? Do you think it defeats the true meaning of discussion??? Do you respond on them? I have encountered several discussions like that, and yes its a bit dull but when the stopic starter gives or comment back I think that gives life... and becomes "discussion" eventually...

I personally prefer it when the person also states their point of view on the subject besides asking the questions to elicit our opinion. I think it makes for a better discussion. I dislike it when a person asks the questions and then never comments on the responses. I have no idea what that is all about.

I don't get the point either... Maybe they think that the more new started discussion they post, the more earnings they will get. I guess they believe that they earn more in posting new discussion rather than answering or responding to other's discussions...

From what I understand, we earn more when we respond to to our posts.

That is true 1hopefulman. We earn from every post we do, we earn more if we comment back to all who responded to our started discussions. Those one liner discussion are number one candidate for deletion... in effect the time they alloted in posting that discussion is wasted too...

I personally would like to hear a persons view on the subject FROM the person asking the question. To me, it adds much more interest to what they are asking and adds a bit of their personality to it. I also think that if they would give their view on the subject matter, then they would receive much more responses, because everyone likes to share their views with others ; )

Welcome to mylot tinalb! A discussion like that is a bit dull and would probably discourage others (some) from participating on the discussion. A good title and a good topic will somehow go into waste if there is no sharing of views, like just plain questions...

hi lovelyn__medrano I can say this, that person is going to baitch like crazy when he or she makes o1 cent or nothing. they do not read the guidelines or rules and just willy nilly post a short sentence or two without much substance and gives us nothing to discuss really. I do not respond on things like what is your favorite color? not unless they ask why is it your favorite color and does it remind you of something in your childhood? then I have something I can relate to and I will answer. I once when I was first here made a discussion on what do you see when you look out your bedroom window? Does it make you feel good or bad?I got a lot' of answers on that one. We must give the responder something to respond to. And I always share my views on whatever I bring to my discussion.

absolutely correct hatley! Discussion doesn't necessarily be long but with something on it that others could share views. It should not be answerable only by yes or no... or by black, blue, white, pink....
