Do you believe in curses.

Boy I tell you some people really do have a lot of bad luck or it is really a curse. Coming from a family that believes that sort of stuff...I kind of wonder.

I don't know why things go wrong for some people and others just seem to do everything right. Lately I have been feeling cursed, but I know that I am truly lucky to be alive after a recent health issue. So I guess it's all what you focus on.

Maybe. I won't go into detail but I have always felt that somehow we got cursed way back when I was about ten years old. I have thought about it a lot and I do truly wonder if it was so. I can trace the difference all the way back to then. There was even an Native American Indian that I thought might be behind it. I just don't know for sure but something changed and things do not change without a reason.

I don't buy it but I only believe that one thing is certain---- if you do something bad, really bad, then you plant an evil seed, so the flower will be evil to.

Very interesting. Almost sounds like you have been around something like that. I believe that evil begets evil. But even something born from evil seed has the chance to choose which way it goes. thanks.

Curses only exist in the minds of people. They can not ever hurt you.Perhaps there is more to the picture and you are seeing only the adversity.Look deeper.

Hi mrdprince. I gave up on luck about 40 years ago and traded it for blessings in Christ. About curses. Yes there are curses, but nothing that God can't handle: Ge 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Zec 5:3 Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. Oh, there's more, but, like I said, nothing that God can't handle, for it is written... Ga 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

I think God called it good fortune and not good luck. Now that i believe in but it is still in relationship to deeds. Thank you Pastor P...I like your responses.

I don't believe in curses nor in blessings. I believe everything is destinated- if something happened then it was supposed to happen,no one would have been able to change it. Our fate is predetermined,we are carrying out a journey the path of which might be unknown to us,the destination in a mist but its there- already decided,we can't change it. So its better to accept life as it is and always look at the brighter side of everything hoping that the next turn our life is gonna take is about to bring light!
