I am trying to put some of the most interesting discussions, but is see that most of them have been not responded well . I dont know what is the reason for that. What kind of discussion gain more interest amoung the public, is it the discussions about the things that we do regularly in our day, or related to scientific or political etc..I also find that some discussion which i find not so intersting gets me more response.. Can any tell me the correct answer please..............

to be honest, I find discussions get more responses when they are stupid/nooby - people respond because everyone knows the answer (from experience on other forums)

Welcome to myLot! What you define as 'stupid' discussions usually get removeg by admin. MyLot ask us for quality and that is what lasts here. Fun discussions get a lot of attention but they are different from the 'stupid' ones.

Well usually I always like to make discussions that will help me because I want to see what people think and it helps me to know the answers to problems that I may have.

My top twelve response-getters were: 23 Intimacy in Public 15 Why is it such a big news story a politician has an affair? 11 Religion and Discrimination 11 Plagiarism in web articles 10 For those who go to movie theaters - do you take your own trash out? 8 How long to select Best Response? 6 Are Survey Sites Discriminators? ... 6 Rapist in the neighborhood 5 OK - I'm through watching American thriller/horror movies 4 Once again threatened with damnation and hellfire ... 4 Housekeeping habits of adults 4 violin lessons at the age of 49 As you can see, I'm not quite an expert in the field either. I started 21 discussions that got 2 responses, 15 that got 1 response, and 8 got zilch. If you would like to see the dud titles, or the entire list, send me a private message and I'll share the entire list.

Do you comment to those who respond on your discussions? If you ask a question and then just don't acknowledge those who respond, the day will come when you have very few responses at all MyLot is about interaction and that is what causes discussions to be popular. Take a look in the 'hot' discussions and you will see that there are users who get involved in them and that causes them to receive even more responses. Just starting a discussion and leaving it there is not the best way at all Do you respond on discussions by those who respond on yours? It's teamwork here too and if you spend one day starting your own and another responding on others you might also see a difference

From my experiences and spending quite a lot of time here, I can tell you that discussions of a controversial or shocking nature tend to garner more responses than the more "vanilla" sets of discussions where every MyLotter seems to simultaneously agree on the discussion at hand.

So long as you get one response, it doesn't matter too much (as far as earning is concerned). Your earning for a discussion is the same, whether you have one response or a hundred because we are paid only for OUR participation (and according to its quality). What does matter, however, is how we turn a 'question and answer' session into a discussion. If you can add good quality comments to each of the responses to your discussion, then you will not only earn for those comments but you will keep the discussion 'alive', thus very likely getting more views responses and, perhaps, earning more positive ratings. 'Maintaining' your discussions by commenting is one of the keys to being successful in MyLot. Another way of encouraging responses is to make sure that your 'friends' list is composed of people who tend to give quality responses and who are interested in the same things as you. As you participate in others' discussions and as they participate in yours, you will come across such people and can add them from time to time.

My discussions gets more response when I will have a good topic being discuss. A topic that have the interest of many of the writers here, and the topic that they have the idea too. That's it,they must have the idea on it.One saying says "You can not tell the things that you do not know. The timing of your post also matters since there are times that there are great numbers or less numbers of writes are using this site.

So far, The discussion I made that had many responses was about online money making. I also responded to some other categories but more inclined in responding money making. The topics there just caught my attention and at times, lots of people need some information about something, When I have an idea about the it, then I would respond.

Personally I prefer questions and answers. I am just fond in doing this kind of discussions because I'm curious of other people's answer. I suggest you create a unique and interesting topics where everyone or most of the mylotters can relate. Plus give a good/attractive title. maybe in that way your discussions will get more responses. hope it helps :)
