Would you like to see date and time when you started the discussion on myLot?

clock - date time

I was going back to my old discussions and all I could see is information like 3 years ago, 3 days ago, and 1 day ago. I wish to see exact date and time. Also I wish to see the date and time for all responds. Do you think that option will help you? Why?

I don't really think it would help me, but that is just me. Maybe for other people there are reasons why it would benefit them. But for right now I'm satisfied with how they date the discussions and responses. Maybe that is something someone could bring with with "Alice", the mylot helper, or whatever the proper term for her is.

I'm hoping some other mylotters who read your discussion here can let you know, because I'm not sure.

I never thought about it...but now that you mention it..it could be interesting to see when posters to my discussion take time out in their day to mylot. It would also help if next to the time it was posted was what time zone that person is in ;)

The date and time don't bother me so much. Maybe just because I'm new here, I just start to comment and start some dicussions in one week. So I kind didn't have problem you mentioned. But I will let mylot give me Email about people respond my discussion or comment on my reply, so I just need to check my email instead of checking information on the mylot site

yes, we have to check email, I never think about an option available on the profile...

Well, I don't know if I would say it would "help" me, but it would be kind of a handy reference to have available. You can go back and look at previous discussions and responses and see exactly what day and time it was. We are all changing all the time. What we felt like talking about a long time ago, might seem a lot different now. You could use the date and time as a reference of how you were feeling at that time..... Why not?

Hi pola, I'm not sure that I would want that exact information, however, I find it strange that it is not readily available. Good luck. Mike.

i guess this will be useful for some people. but some people will not bother to see the date and time in each post. as long as we can interact with each other, through posts and private messages, mylot will remain to be fine and the best of all sites in its category.

I don't know if the best. This is the only discussion site I am on for the last, over 3 years...maybe the best
9 Feb 10
If there was some way to the order the way you viewed the responses on the date and time then I would find it useful because then it would be easier to see the latest responses made to your discussions. Although it wouldn't bother me, it would also be useful for those who want to see if posting discussions at certain times of the day and week are more popular than others.

I would like to see when the whole planet is sleeping when I am Mylotting... Not only, some of my discussions are marked as 4 years old, when in fact, I am not 4 years yet on Mylot...

afer u told i also was thinking if that option is there here in mylot,it will be more interesting for us and can see more previous posts who respond now also . seeing exact date and time is good idea for us,but not too useful. but admin should look into this to put this option.

I think it would be a great idea. If you do post alot here or jsut post some and you are infreqent. there are so many post here it is hard to track of them all and it looking back at your history here is imporatnt to you, then the date and time stamp is a must.

I was just thinking the same thing myself. You're right, we have no way of knowing exactly when something was posted. But Im sort of getting used to it now. I look at how long its been and try to figure it out haha.

There's a problem with that as well. As many people are in different timezone, if the default time zone of the website is different from yours, you may find it even more difficult to know when the topic was posted. Even if the website is able to customised the timezone based on your timezone, sometimes you would find it strange for people to post an event before the event has started. But in their timezone, that event has already started.

make sense...but it would be for my referral only, so I would know what day and time I start my discussion running... it could be fun to......

i think it would be a good idea to see the date and the time. It's nice to see how long ago, the discussion was posted, but it tends to round up, so a discussion that was posted a year and a half ago, may show up as two years ago. A discussion that was an hour and a half ago, will be two hours ago. date and time stamps would be really nice on discussions.

I would like to have exact date though time may vary, maybe to near hours(if 1 hour is passed already)... It helps to keep record :) Specially when I was all green about a fellow mylotter who surpassed me, I wanted to know exactly on which days he was online while I was cut off It'll also help me in court cases, on second thoughts.. Where were you at time X on date Y while this and this happened?

I think this is a good ideal, I like it. You should put it in to the leaders of My Lot. When you have ideals share them, they might take them and use them. Happy posting.

yeah, that would be a good suggestion as you would be able to know exactly the date where you posted it since if you post a discussion 2 weeks from now it would probably be counted as one month since the last day of the month which should not be from present it should be only 2 weeks. I am now begin to post my discussion including a date so it is one way to count how many discussion i do fro 1 month and so on.
